I wouldn’t intervene. The way things have gone in this country, the cops would probably charge me with assault if I tried to stop it.
I thought that too, but I was only half right.
Waffle House is awesome, what you talkin bout
Everyone knows the “You might be a redneck...” jokes; I’ll add that you might be a yankee if you’ve never even SEEN a Waffle House (I haven’t - ever). Not that I’m proud to be a yankee (I’m filled with self-loathing), but we just don’t have these here in NJ (or the NYC metro area, or eastern PA) as far as I know.
I’d never seen one either until I came down South, myself.
I’m a former Yankee. Now, they call me a “Damned Yankee”. The difference, I’m told, is that a regular Yankee eventually goes home.
Either way, I find it really hard to understand how one can not appreciate the sublime nature of Waffle House. What most people don’t understand is that they are actually dimensional portals; every Waffle House location leads to the same diner inside with the same employees. It’s a similar principle to the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. That’s why no matter what you order there, it’s completely identical to the last time you ordered it, no matter when and apparently-where that may have been.
Truly, the blessing of Waffle House has yet to be fully understood. Woe to those who are blind to its beauty!
If I saw one I’d definitely give it a try; read about them too many times here to ignore it. Thanks!
