67 seem to be a hard limit for a lot of rockers...except Keith Richards.

No doubt their debut album is beyond a classic, I am hard pressed to come up with a debut album with such impact in the 70s... Maybe Bad Company’s first albumn.. and the 2nd album showed it was no fluke... 3rd album wasn’t bad either.. but definitely not on par with 1 and 2.
After that different lead singer, and it was pretty much over, think they may have had 1 song even chart off of anything after 3rd stage.

Bad Company’s debut and Van Halen’s Debut are probably the only 70s debut albumns I can think of in rock that would be in the same ballpack as bostons debut albumn.
To: HamiltonJay
I’d put The Cars’ debut up there, as well.

IMO, Boston wasn’t the same without Brad Delp. After his suicide, it was a long while before I could listen to any of their songs.
I’ve heard the rumor that Scholz was partially responsible for Delp’s suicide, due to the lawsuits. Delp was an easygoing, sensitive guy & Scholz was a real SOB. I don’t know if that is true though.
Many classic rock bands just aren’t the same without their original singers: Brad Delp, Lou Gramm from Foreigner & Steve Perry from Journey.
RIP, Sib

Same here, my achile’s heel, front of my right calf. That’s where my limit is. Helps to have two bass pedals though.

Delp’s suicide was all on him. Google it. He had some issues.

I could be wrong but, I vaguely recall
Boston was actually just Tom Scholz and Brad Delp(?), and maybe some studio musicians ... And, Scholz put together a band only when he decided to take his show on the road.
I'd Google it but, this thread took me back to the 20th Century.
Nevertheless, this is sad news. And only 67!

But, when I saw Yes last year, that was a different story altogether. Ugghh.

Brad Delp committed suicide a number of years ago.
His wife and others blamed Tom Scholz.
I don’t think Barry Goudreau will even speak to him.
