No not at any distance.
I do think if I had to use a shot cartridge, I would aim for the face. It probably would be pretty mean under 10 feet.
At my son’s school a few years ago there was a shooting. The guy killed one student with the end of the barrel at the back of his head. Video showed him shooting a girl at about 15 to 20 feet (12 gauge shotgun) and the girl staggered and then walked away. (Not sure how good the placement was, but she survived). I saw another video of a boy walking out with his shirt off and a circular “rash” on his chest and stomach. So that must have been at about 20 feet or so too to have it pattern like that. But he was walking and talking to the EMT.
I’m glad that the shooter was an idiot and used bird shot. He was just sentenced a few months ago. 114 years or something with no parole.
But yeah 15 feet to the face might kill you. Would sure slow you down being blinded and all.
