One of Frances main airports was evacuated and flights disrupted for hours Saturday after a man wrestled a soldier to the ground and snatched her automatic rifle, telling her colleagues there will be deaths.
The 39-year-old assailant, identified by authorities as Ziyed Ben Belgacem, was known to Frances intelligence services as a possible Islamist extremist.
Hours before the airport attack, he wounded a police officer with a 9-millimeter lead-shot pistol during a traffic stop and later opened fire in a bar without hitting anyone, Francois Molins, the Paris prosecutor, said at an evening news conference.

What is a "lead shot pistol?"
That said, that's only what I heard. Don't hang your hat on it.
There are steel pistol rounds.
My local range will magnet check any suspicious rounds.
I have some 9mm ammo loaded with lead shot. I don’t think they will operate the action tho.
I have a lot of .22LR and .22WMR shot shells. The .22 magnums perform surprisingly well. I once shot a cottonmouth with a Ruger single six. It was loaded with WMR shot cartridges and they literally shredded him from around 8 feet away.
Ive never heard of a lead shot pistol. It sounds like someone who didn’t know what they were talking about was trying to describe a 9mm pistol with bullets with lead shot instead of a slug.
What is a “lead shot pistol?”
It means he was acting in an environmentally unfriendly manner, in violation of EU regulations. That’s a crime in the EU.
Typically 9mm bird shot carries 45 grains of #4 bird shot or about 13 pellets.
What is a “lead shot pistol?”
There were some guns in Europe that took 9mm shot cartridges.
They were mostly small shotguns, but Flobert made some 9mm rimfire pistols, and there may have been some others, mostly single shots.
I believe they are generally unregulated in France, as antiques.
Don't try to read too much into the nomenclature (almost certainly mis-)used. He might as well have been commenting on the details of space rocketry engines.
My 9mm shotshells are loaded with much smaller shot than #4. I would guess maybe #9 or smaller. They are light so I would guess around 50 grains or so.
More obtuse/opaque nomenclature from the press.
It really wouldn’t be that hard for these folks to cultivate a knowledgeable source to help them get it right / not look like fools. I can only conclude they just don’t care, as the general class of MSM jouralistas get it wrong so consistently.
It means that this dead TERRORIST will now be tried for, ‘Crimes Against Humanity’ for using LEAD shot - which is destroying our ozone layer...or something or other - versus being tried post-humus as a Muslim Terrorist.
Try to keep up! ;)
Maybe something like this:

Not a firearm, an air gun, but 67 grain round ball at 700 fps got to hurt.
Looks like CCI makes #4 and #12. I wouldn’t think either one was exactly a man stopper.
No not at any distance.
I do think if I had to use a shot cartridge, I would aim for the face. It probably would be pretty mean under 10 feet.
I have read several descriptions. I has been called a revolver, a pellet gun, a revolver that shoots 9mm bird shot cartridges, a lead shot pistol.
It could be a pellet gun revolver that shoots .177 pellets.
It could be an air gun.
It could be a look alike revolver that shoots pellets.
We may never know. The French are not good at posting pictures of crime guns.
I read the bullets were filled with lead shot. Usually a thin plastic covering encases the lead shot. Not very lethal unless at an extremely close range to a vital organ.
>The 39-year-old assailant
Should have been killed at birth. islams like this are far too prolific and the need to sterilize islam nests needs expedited.
Look at Glazers. US Air Marshalls use these
When the incident was over, all involved officers went to a whisky bar.
