Bingo!

“More like Don Meredith before he took the Monday nite gig. He took a job as a local sportscaster in Dallas. The baseball scores were what got him fired....red”

Which means they hire them back as P14’s.

I’ll put money on them being there after lots of others get shown the door. ESPN is too ate up with PC to make real business decisions for business reasons.

I think we may see SportsCenter anchors axed, ESPNU cut back and the likely ending of the Longhorn Network. And ESPN will shelve the idea of the ACC Network, too.

Some talent, like Diek Vitale, Lee Corso, Chris Berman and Bob Ley, will likely announce they retire within the next 18 months. The most visible stars remaining will likely stay, though.

This is exactly what I do. I am a huge Nebraska football fan (see my tagline and my handle). When I watch games at home, I use my DVR to sync up the video with my good old homer Husker IMG Sports Network radio broadcast. I get the audio broadcast off of the Tune In radio app on my phone and stream it through my blue tooth speaker.

It makes the experience much more pleasant by avoiding the ABC/ESPN/Fox Sports/Big Ten Network announcers who make my head explode. I find that I avoid my frequent instances of flipping the bird at the screen accompanied by an angry f-bomb tirade. I also get accurate up to date injury reports that the national sideline reporters don’t have.

I had to turn off the NFL network this morning because they brought on Melissa Etheridge as a guest.

They just keep pushing their base....and the base shuts the TV off.

Dan Patrick, like Colin Cowherd, wanted tighter control over the production content of their radio shows. That's why Dan Patrick has his own shows using a studio built by NBC Sports, and Colin Cowherd went to FOX Sports 1/FOX Sports Radio with a much larger TV studio and complete control over content.

I would not be surprised that both Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic leave ESPN and become the East Coast morning drive hosts of a new radio TV show on NBCSN/NBC Sports Radio or FOX Sports 1/FS1 on a show from 6 to 9 am Eastern time.

A few months ago they changed the morning show format to more like the view where the token women is the leader at the round table. Now they have one former player, 2 reporters and the chick.

This would be noteworthy if ESPN actually employed anyone with talent.... but since there is no talent to speak of on any of these channels, who the hell is panicking?

Wayne's World quality broadcasts.

Hostile Amish broadcasters.

Glorifying thugs every chance they get.

Inane commentary about political issues, wrong every time they take a stab at politics.

They all think they are cute, but they are repulsive and annoying, with insider sophomoric jokes and a general smugness that is comical when you consider how dumb they all are on this network.

Totally deserve to crash and burn.

“Tonight’s forecast... Dark, with widely scattering light in the morning”

Typical N. California Coastal forecast from Apr thru October with this addition: light coastal fog in the morning. Temps will be the same as yesterday, last week, last month and the month before that.

I once heard one of the more “profound” after-game reporters comment:

“At the end of the day, the Lakers won the game because they scored more points than the Sixers.”

Is that right, champ?

They should run the whole network with Mike Ditka and a few high school kids reading the scores.

Great idea. Born in Nebraska but attended college in Oklahoma when Bud Wilkinson was in his glory days. So did follow Oklahoma Univ for a while. Oldest grandson attends Oklahoma State so their games are a must watch. Youngest grandson now playing JV at his high school so it’s starting all over again for the Granny. Watched Nebraska - as opponents - several times. Cornhusker fans seem to be solidly behind their team and for good reason. College and high school football is way more better than the NFL.

What was she doing? Breaking down the combine?

If they didn’t trash America, Trump and the Trump voters, I might watch again.”

Our family only watches Green Bay and the Texans. Doubt if we will ever watch other NFL teams, particularly with Goodell in charge. NFL football has changed too much to our way of thinking.
