I wish Donald Trump would go back on offense.
Tomorrow morning he needs to tweet out: “We are going to save billions on Health Insurance by making it illegal for Hillary Supporters to have it.”
Retake the news cycle. It was working there for a while.
Least of all the Slimes but I don’t believe anyone about this health care mess.
They are all playing smoke and mirrors. Including Trump.
This is another political and amateur mess with the sheeple the losers.
The NYT is a fake news source.
Now isn't that just so very special, I'll pass on that one. They just need to Repeal o’care and go home.
Term Limits,
One term in office
Two terms in jail!
Obamacare pushed us out. We’re 63 and saved well over $40k in insurance premiums since it took effect.
I’m really getting pissed the way the #fakejournalists at the #fakeNewYawkTimes and other #newssources keep dragging “the elderly” and Medicare (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MEDICAID) into the ObamaCare fight.
“... 20 percent to 25 percent higher for a 64-year-old.
WHO IS ABOUT TO GO ON MEDICARE!
A stupid, biased article.
I think it was smart to let Ryan lead, since the first draft would be savaged by everyone, and unfairly explained.
“penalizing older patients and rewarding younger ones”
Uncle Sam is going to be handing out tens of billions annually.
Can I be “penalized” with a $3,000/year gift please?
That would make me $3,000/year better off than under the current PPACA.
The difference is this. The ACA was structured to shift the cost of insuring older patients onto younger patients. The GOP shifts more of the cost of older patients back onto older patients making it more affordable for younger patients. All you have to do is switch a couple of words around.
Like this:
The GOP Plan: But the way the bill achieves those lower average premiums has little to do with increased choice and competition. It depends, rather, on penalizing older patients and rewarding younger ones. According to the C.B.O. report, the bill would make health insurance so unaffordable for many older Americans that they would simply leave the market and join the ranks of the uninsured.

Older people have Medicare. What is the problem?
The NYT puts a loaded gun to it head and says, “Don’t laugh...you’re next!”.
10% is no cut, especially amortized over ten years. That means my wife’s monthly premium will take ten years to drop from $800+ a month, to $720+ a month. We can’t afford that either. Before Obamacare, it was $400 a month, and her employer paid half of that. Her employer dropped the insurance altogether, and her premium instantly doubled, and the went up by a hundred bucks ever six months.
That’s not “affordable”, I don’t care what they name the bill.
RyanOcare is likely to be worse than Obamacare.
LOL - they gonna recycle the old cartoons from the Bush era - showing the mean spirited Repubs pushing granny over the cliff in her wheelchair?
older people often have assets. The healthcare/government/insurance complex is going to liquefy those assets and feed their maw.
It also helps keep the next generation poorer.
