A giant goanna has terrified an Australian family as they attempted to feed the reptile after it emerged from their garden.
The incident, captured on video, shows the beast to rethink its choice of prey and run up the porch straight toward the frightened householders.
The family were throwing food at the over-sized lizard when the reptile headed for them forcing the onlookers to scramble indoors to hide.

At some point, you either have to face reality or be eaten.
We live in a rural area where coyotes, bobcats, rattlers,
copperheads, the occasional bear ranging through headed up
north & other strange predators also live. Fang likes his
shotgun, rifles & crossbow & I’m using my great-great
grandpa’s antique Smith & Wesson. We don’t feed anything
but the big guard dog, the spoiled rotten cat, the compost
bin, the birds & whatever finds a scrap dropped here or
there on the yard. - What happened to the original
criminal population in Australia? Looks like they just
turned into sissies afraid of their shadows.
