Two left?
The Countdown begins: How many hours will pass before someone reporter comes up with a question that ends with The Who bashing President Trump? I say 72 hours or less.
For once great bands, Las Vegas is that pit stop just this side of Hell.
I thought they hoped to die before they got old.
Saw them at Desert Trip last October at Indio/Cochella.
They must have become smitten with the desert southwest.
I believe that Roger and Pete lean a little more conservative than your average rock star. Seems like they did an event for the Republicans in Congress a few years back (ro honoe Xhuexhill)
If they were to perform Quadrophenia, I would definitely go see them.

I just saw a special of their concert in Hyde Park a couple years ago. Amazing body of music, and they still sound great. Between songs they were interviewing Roger and Pete. Townsend said he’s tired of touring and some people suggested they rent a theater and play nightly to smaller crowds. He basically said are you kidding, do you know how exhausting this is? Why would I want to do it every night? Maybe he changed his mind. It does make sense if they still want to play but not tour. Let people come to them.

Ya know these bands are far from their prime when they start doing county fairs and casinos...
A little story: in 1976 my band “Rampage” was playing at the Troubadour on Santa Monica and Townsend & Entwhistle as we started our set.
They stayed the whole set then when we took a break they came up & slapped me on the shoulder and said “Good show, eh wot?”
Saw them in Seattle, 1973 - tightest big time rock band ever and I witnessed nearly all of them live except the Beatles back in those days.
Saw the Who back in 1976 (with Keith Moon) and 1980 (with Kenney Jones). Obviously, was not the same.
Had an opportunity to see the Townsend / Daltrey show in 2008 and 2012 (without Entwistle and Moon, they aren’t the Who). Absolutely no interest. It would ruin my memories of the greatest rock band in history.
After all, seeing a 70 year old croak out “My Generation” just doesn’t work for me.
The Who should change their name to Why?
