Ivanka Trump might be getting the SNL treatment in America, but in China, she is the next big beauty trend.
According to cosmetic surgery professionals in the country, women are ga-ga over the first daughter's good looks - so much so that they are going to great lengths to copy her look.
Since Donald Trump's inauguration, Chinese companies have been lodging applications to use Ivanka's name to sell their business.
But one company in the southern city of Foshan was lucky enough to have preempted the scramble, registering their name, Foshan Yiwanka Medical Management, back before the election.
Yiwanka shares characters with the Chinese spelling of Ivanka, making it a very popular business name right now.
The medical center specializes in facial cosmetic surgery and also in liposuction and breast augmentation.
And it was especially lucky that the company secured the name, as the Ivanka image is very beneficial to their business, as human resources manager Li Yunxing explained to Washington Post. (snip)

My rich neighbor, a 35 year immigrant from New Zealand, went to china, met and married a Chinese woman, she's my neighbor.(A wonderful lady).
Anyway, when I asked him why 'ping' (her name) wore so many clothes and a bonnet almost covering her face when out working in the flower beds in summer. He told me that it was common among Chinese because they feared getting darker and block the sun...they want to be lighter.
