Six years after the devastating 2011 earthquake and tsunami struck Japan, the evacuation zone around the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant remains devoid of humansbut the boars have moved in. Reuters reports that after the people left, wild boars living in the nearby hills came down to the towns and made themselves at home. Now, the Japanese government is preparing to lift evacuation orders in some areas, but residents have voiced concerns about the dangers of encountering wild boars in their streets and backyards. A small group of local hunters have been assigned to catch and kill the boars, further preparing the way for residents to return home.

And they come pre roasted.....
All we want to know is do they glow in the dark, so we don’t have to buy expensive night vision optics to hunt them at night?
Gojira!
Some enterprising dudes will decide to market the meat. What could possibly go wrong?
good luck with trying to control them thru hunting.
here in california they are the most hunted big game , more than deer. studies have shown you can kill 70% of the population in any given year and not impact the overall number. they can have two litters a year and can have 10 or more per litter. they only seem limited by food availability. really smart animals with few natural predators once they reach juvenile size.
i once watched a large wild pig sow fight off three coyotes who were after her piglets. she did some damage before retreating into dense cover.
the males are covered with really hard armor gristle an are immune to any predator here, and have really big razor sharp tusks. porky pig not.
Great name for a rock band, too!
My favorite films when I was a young boy in the early 1950’s were sci-fi works with plots based on the effects of atomic bomb radiation and the resultant mutants. I can still vividly recall James Arness with his Thompson dispatching one of the twelve-foot ants that lived in L.A.’s storm drains in “Them.” I drove all the adults in the family mad with my eerily accurate impression of the whistling sound the monsters made just before they attacked. Perhaps some young and bright film makers could do justice to these Atomic Pigs. P.S.: It would be a real bonus if the pigs have a voracious appetite for muslims.
But they are good eats
BOARNADO!!
12 gauge rifled slug.
Grill with BBQ sauce.............
...............Yyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumm!!
Here in Arkansas, the research indicates that you must kill over 90% of the population to actually begin making progress on decreasing the population.

Looks like a job for Mr. Brenneke.
Boarzilla

Gift it to the North Korean military.
Looks like a Benjamin Marauder, pre-charged pneumatic repeater. Usually chambered as large as .25 caliber, but there are some custom barrels in larger calibers available.
Not your granddad's airgun.
We have plenty of these pests on our ranch on the Texas Gulf Coast. They are very smart and avoid traps and nocturnal so you don’t see them in the daylight. You do see the damage they do.
