At a restaurant I worked at the '80s it was Halloween and costumes allowed. A cook wore a Nazi uniform which the concentration camp survivor (with number) wait staff manager did not appreciate and got very upset over. The dumb cook had to remove his costume and work in a t-shirt but remained "puzzled." Of course, he was also dumb in many other ways and didn't last long anyway.
The wait staff manager was one of the hardest workers I've ever seen with the most integrity.

Oh, yeah, sure, and like the Ewoks weren’t modeled after German Shepherds. And R2-D2 wasn't modeled after Professor Robert B. Reich.
Which would have been a step up, because Reich was only 32 years old when Star Wars came out, and therefore was less than two feet tall.

Well I think the solution to the whole thing is to have someone portray that esteemed Princeton president, Woodrow Wilson. That way he could segregate the white storm troopers from the rest of the “polite” party goers.

Well, there was an old (B&W) movie called 633 Squadron. I think it was named after a real squadron. They had to fly a canyon to drop bombs under a cliff overhang to cause it to fall and block the opening to an underground NAZI weapons complex. The bombs had to hit just right. And of course there was ack ack guns lining the canyon.
Lucas just modernized it and set it in space.
