He accused her of physical abuse in the divorce. The judge, after hearing the testimony of multiple LEO’s who suffered her abuse, allowed it. Her parents came unhinged in the courtroom, start fighting with LEO’s and get cuffed and stuffed.
Her parents ended up paying for everything to avoid a restraining order and eventually everything calmed down. Now the only person who isn’t allowed to see the kids is the mom who moved across the country to New Mexico to live with an artist.
Oddly, college towns have lots of these types of things.

Texas has the nicest people, but on the other end of the bell curve of behavior we also have the trashiest of trash in all of Trashland.I live in New York City, and generally speaking, I love the south, and I love southerners - and Texas does have some of the nicest people, and all due respect to my fellow Freepers who are Texans - but, yes.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that this woman was partaking in both alcohol and other hard drugs, obviously used in some kind of highly effective medicinal combination...
