BELL COUNTY, Texas - Bell County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a woman Sunday night, after they said she stabbed her father, bit her grandmother, injured a deputy and walked through traffic holding her two-year-old child.
Virginia Lynn Ewton, 30, of Round Rock, was being held in the Bell County Jail Monday. She is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a public servant and endangering a child.
Deputies said she got into an altercation with her father while the family was driving south on I-35. Investigators believe the vehicle stopped roughly one mile south of a rest area, where Ewton stabbed her father multiple times with a knife. Officials also said she fought her grandmother, who suffered "several bites" to the arm. Their conditions were not immediately clear.
From there, Major T.J. Cruz said Ewton walked a mile back to the rest area, at which point 911 callers told dispatchers they saw Ewton in traffic holding her small child. When a Bell County Sheriff's Deputy arrived and located Ewton on the Interstate, authorities said she got into a fight with the deputy.

Here’s my crazy story
Friend marries crazy. They have two kids. She refuses to let his parents see the kids. If she knows they are coming into town, she runs off to her parents with the kids. It becomes an obsession with her.
Eventually, they separate, joint custody. The first time he gets custody, she finds out the kids are going to his parents. She throws a tantrum, takes off out of the parking lot with the kids, screams down the road, cop chases her for speeding, she manages to get to her parents house with a line of cops behind her for failing to stop, endangerment, etc. She gets arrested. Dad gets the kids. Her parents throw a tantrum when they see the dad with the kids and they get arrested.
She finds out the kids are going to stay at his parents and throws a grand mal meltdown.... in the jail. Ends up shackled in the Chair of Shame. Eventually, she gets committed. Her parents sue for custody and the judge spends 15 seconds giving them a tour of the Land of Nope.

I’m glad to hear there was a happy ending to the story. At least as happy as could be under the circumstances.
I was confused by the headline, thought the deputy was holding the child. But you are right, sounds like she did it all by herself.
