Easier to not be a jerk like humblegunner and a few others. If you want to sniff them out bring up vaccinations or dare challenge a Trump policy. You are guaranteed to get called some names worthy of a liberal.

I agree.
It depends on what you did which resulted in the ban, how you interact with the owner of this site, and a bit of luck.
I know there are some very prominent FReepers who have been banned for a while, I have even interceded on one’s behalf on several occasions, but then again, you never know.
I myself came about one half whisker from never being able to post again. I think I was exactly one half a post from him yanking the plug on me. Very, very close. Yet I am still here, enjoying this website very much. Thanks Jim for not banning me that time.
Mostly just stay positive. This is a great website. One of the very best in my opinion. But be aware this is a private forum and you CAN be banned, and it may be for something you think is fine, but the owner disagrees with.
Just keep that in mind. A nice word to the owner, and a little patience is what I recommend.
I also agree with the idea of a donation to the site.
That is always helpful, I think.

I banned myself for a few years after 2008. Things got pretty unpleasant here. Glad I decided to come back, though.

I got banned for a few days years ago for suggesting a harsh response to illegal immigration. Lol...and I love Latin culture. Just don’t care for criminals.
I got banned for 24 hours once. I think it was on one of the Mormon vs. Evangelical threads.
