President of the U.S. publicly made a serious allegation. Has Obama himself publicly denied it?

“Neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false," said Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for the former president.

Semantics. Ok, he didn't inhale or order. He requested of the DOJ, FBI, CIA, whomever..and the FISA Court complied and ordered.

I want to also add, I have beat and banged my head since before the election (and drove my husband crazy) saying how desperate Obama was acting.

It was so obvious to me that he was hiding something huge. Many things have been revealed and each time I say no, it’s something bigger. This is it.

This is the big banana the gorilla has kept hidden. I hope it is enough to bring him down but I am not holding my breath.

This accusation blowing up in Trump’s face could cost Trump some support and will certainly play into the meme Trump is unstable and unpresidential.

I disagree. Do you really think Trump would make such public accusation if he did not have hard evidence to back it up?

The ball is in Trump’s court? I would disagree here too. It’s Obama who’s now under the pressure and will appear even more suspect the longer he remains silent on this.

The Press is not interested in Obama regarding the wiretapping charge

Btw, at the top of this hour the press is *headlining* this across the board. And still not a peep from Mr. Obama.

Blame in all on GOP leadership — Ryan and McConnell are worthless!

So there were 2 fisa apps and a warrant issued to tap Trump...is that what you are saying?

I believe those are accepted facts. The June application for a wiretap was denied. The October request was granted and the tap was made. For all we know it is still active, although that seems unlikely.

The wiretap applications could be declassified by Trump, although they might be misleading since they were advocacy documents. The results of the wiretap are in Obama's non-exclusive possession...ready to be leaked when a news cycle demands it.

Don’t forget that Barky absolutely fears Trump. He does. Remember the birther issue.

Trump was the only guy who could get him to produce a fake birth certificate.

And remember, too — Trump is still the only guy who insults Obama and gets away with it.

This hatred of Trump will cause Barky to screw up and create an opening — which apparently already is out there and Trump knows about.

Assuming that Trump just found out about this, I can see why he's angry.

One thing all Americans dislike is the government spying on political enemies. The Democrats will claim it was justified, but only because they reflexively defend their own, no matter what. Can you imagine the outrage if Trump had tapped Chuck Schumer? It would be insane.

Hopefully, Trump will press this one all the way, to the last person involved. This is a battle that honest Americans will want Trump to fight. The goes to the very core of trusting the government.

Wow...since it was made in October, the motivation was almost certainly political!
