"My, what a guy, that Gaston!" Watch a new clip from Beauty and the Beast featuring Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as LeFou.

Oh man. What a stinker. Disney did really well with their animated movies for a while. Pixar took them to the next level and I was really impressed. But now, they're just pumping them out and phoning it in. As for Marvel, again, great stuff but I'm done watching "Blah Blah part 5, the Return of Blah Blah."
Which brings me to this clip of the new Live-Action Movie, Beauty and the Beast." Disney is trying something new-- recycling classic animated movies by making them live action. This is just much, much too gay. What kid is going to want to go to the movies to watch a Broadway Musical? I couldn't even sit through this several-second clip. They should just cut their losses and send this puppy straight to DVD to be snatched up by old queens. I'll be watching this in the theaters as soon as I get tickets to "Moonlight." Oh dear.
Emma Watson is a big feminist......she wants to make Gloria Steinem proud.....
Couldn’t pay me to see this movie!
I’m stunned that a rabid feminist is playing Belle.
I know she doesn’t care about money, but I bet she took the check (which is higher than most of her co-stars) anyway.
That said, she really doesn’t need my money to be even richer.
Think I’ll pass.
Trying to glamorize queers and transgender mentally ill freaks, is not a box office WIN for Disney! Make the MEN be MEN and just MAYBE they can salvage some glimmer of profit!
I agree, it was very strange casting to pick her. Doesn’t fit at all. I don’t see “Belle” there.
Is there any movie Josh Gad is NOT in? Maybe Moonlight, but I’ll never know. Gag.
Is he a stand-in for Jack Black?
Was so well done in the animation. At least they picked the people to play the characters with quite the right looks, except that trio of girls. They were a lot cuter in the animation.

Little Girl Puts Gaston In His Place: Disney World 2014

Well, I promised my granddaughter I would take her. The clip doesn’t seem too horrible. I’ve seen worse on TV.
Emma Watson is not a particularly good actress.
Many people love musicals, including a number of kids. My family used to attend most of them. Just the other night, my wife and and I went to see "Newsies" in the movie theater.
It’s a good part, if she can sing.
No way would I see it it let alone let any child see this!
Disney puts gay scene in Beauty and the Beast: Character of LeFou set to explore his sexuality and feelings for leading man Gaston in new film

Too bad. The Cinderella one is beautiful.
“What kid is going to want to go to the movies to watch a Broadway Musical?”
I can’t relate either, but I think young girls, women and gay men all dig these things. Look at how many old song & dance musicals TCM plays, someone is watching that crappola. Things like the home jewelry shopping network and WNB exist, someone out there digs it I guess.
Freegards
I am sick of these actresses taking themselves way too seriously. Does everything have to be deep and serious?
To be fair, even the 1991 animated version was nothing more than a broadway musical in several of the worst ways possible (the Gaston reprise for that movie was just stupid, considering Gaston just divulged key details of his plan that should have exposed him as a scumbag to everyone in the room, yet they cheered him on).
Still... to include actual homosexuality in this film...?! Grr... You know, I actually was looking forward to the film, since it had such tremendous promise regarding major improvements to the 1991 plotline (namely, cutting off Gaston’s reprise, avoiding making Belle into such a mean-spirited jerk, actually giving the triplets inner ugliness, not to mention avoiding making them superior to Belle in terms of outward looks, not to mention direct ties to the original fairy tale). But I see I was gravely mistaken, they made a very big, bad error with this.
You’d think Disney would take the hint regarding the whole Frozen controversy a little while back that interjecting homosexuality in films would be a grave mistake (Not saying Frozen did have homosexuality in it, because as John Nolte pointed out, it really didn’t), or even the horrid sales for the Aftermath book trilogy for Star Wars. Not to mention as Florida Family Association pointed out, the fact that their “Gay Days” are crashing and burning. Had I been CEO of Disney, and I noticed profits were collapsing during that day, I’d remove it and cite it lacking a profit as the reason.
