Trinity’s transgender wrestler credits teammates for his state title

CYPRESS Mack Beggs came here to wrestle. And wrestle he did, manhandling four opponents over two days as he captured a Class 6A girls state championship Saturday.

The 110-pound gold medalist also captured something else: The attention of a nation increasingly polarized by transgender issues.

Beggs, a 17-year-old transgender boy from Euless Trinity High School, didn’t come to the state tournament seeking to carry the transgender torch, or to become a lightning rod, or to be the target of a lawsuit that could end his high school wrestling career.

But those subplots all played out during the two-day UIL Wrestling State Tournament at the Berry Center in Cypress, where Beggs defeated Chelsea Sanchez of Katy Morton Ranch 12-1 to win the championship.

At first I thought he/she/it was wrestling boys, but nope, girls. And this is fair how? No doping allowed in sports but oh wait! In the world of the left, testosterone shots are perfectly OK!

“This is about Mack wanting to do what Mack wants to do,”

Of course it is. Stupid is as stupid does. The parents are idiots.

This nonsense is beyond ridiculous. This girl has been taking steroids to “transform into a boy”. The state wouldn’t allow her to compete on the boys bracket because her birth certificate says she is a girl.

If the born girl is claiming to be a guy and is taking testosterone shots to be a guy then the person should be on the boys team. And then he could date girls and be a male lesbian. Imagine whirled peas. Seriously, maybe we should all just go with robots. I could be transformed into a body with wings and Inspector Gadget arms. No need for flying cars if everyone has their own wings to get around.

The law makes exceptions when the steroid is being administered under the care of a physician. The same would be allowed for a boy with an average no cringe condition who ne dead testosterone or growth hormone. They might try to set a maximum hormone level, but they can’t disallow legitimate health care (regardless of how this case is considered).

"Transgender boy" my a$$. It's a mentally disturbed female taking testosterone to cheat the system.

Once again the media is delighted to exploit and distort a story to advance its agenda. The real story here is not about "transgender rights" but about doping. A girl is taking testosterone supplementation and to no surprise exhibits superior strength and athletic performance compared to her peers.

Of course, this same "male" would have been taken apart had "he" competed on the boys' team, which I'm sure would have given them something else to whine about.

The answer is very simple here. Competing on school sports teams is a privilege, not a right, and those teams set physical requirements to ensure the health and safety of all participants. One of the strongest such requirements is the strict prohibition against doping--something every school has in its rules. This individual clearly violated those rules and as a result should have been barred from competing in the first place.

But of course, that story wouldn't advance any social agenda, would it?

She is a girl taking drugs which give her an significant advantage over other girls. This should not be allowed.

...they can't disallow legitimate health care

They have to for eligibility to keep it fair. If there are blurred lines, the lines no longer exist. Kinda' like the nation's borders.

If I remember correctly one of the Olympic gymnasts was allowed to participate in spite of taking ADHD medication. How is that okay? Part of being a world-best athlete is having the inner strength and focus, naturally, to be the best.

If his teammates, a group of teenage girls, really cheered his “win” and accepted him as a teammate on a girl’s wrestling team it demonstrates just how much damage left wing propaganda and faux education has done to the culture. These young people have been conditioned. They have been imprinted to equate “tolerance” and political correctness as values that supercede informed, rational judgement. They accept delusion and political narrative as reality. Not a good pattern for a successful life.

I know your being sarcastic.
But just substitute the word "fake" for "transgender" any time you see it in front of a gender word like "boy", "girl","male", or "female".
You're welcome!
I'll be here all week.

LOL! Clever writing to illustrate the absurdity of all this.

“her teammates”
“cheered her win”
“accepted her”

It seems perfectly reasonable that her teammates were pleased with the victory, however it was achieved. I wonder what her opponents thought about it. “It was a privilege to be defeated by a doped-up girl.”?
