CHICAGO -- Teen suicide attempts in the U.S. declined after same-sex marriage became legal and the biggest impact was among gay, lesbian and bisexual kids, a study found.

The research found declines in states that passed laws allowing gays to marry before the Supreme Court made it legal nationwide. The results don't prove there's a connection, but researchers said policymakers should be aware of the measures' potential benefits for youth mental health.

This is not directed at any particular poster or FReeper, but honesty, some have said if they didn’t know any better they would think FR was a Leftist site what with all the pro-Lying Left headlines steaming across.

Again, to repeat, I understand that some posts of certain published lies can help in ferreting out the truth and can be very helpful. But much of the stream of almost endless Leftist media’s published lies posted on FR often has no redeeming value, gets people pissed off, possibly demoralized, and seems sometimes to even strengthen the lie.

And again, to repeat, my suggestion is we FReepers should find reliable sources that have already deconstructed the lie and replaced it with the truth and with a headline that says the truth. We need much more of that on FR IMO. The key is the headline and the first few sentences because not everyone has time to drill down. The endless stream of negative, lying headlines sabotages our purpose IMO.

And who could believe anything in “a study” these days? That’s one of the casualties of the politicization of everything these days.

No sane American should believe ANYTHING put out by ideologues, and that includes virtually all of the press. One would not, or should not, be surprised if the facts were to the contrary.

ENOUGH ALREADY WITH THESE GAY-THEMED THREADS!!!!!!!!

I posted this as a FAKE NEWS thread, to laugh, to mock.

To show, once again, how much fake, anti-American news is out there.

If Jim doesn't want them posted then so be it.

Total bullshit. The drop can be from many other causes. This “study” is completely invalid.

Mrs WBill has a number of gay friends (leftovers from college....). All of them are *very* militant about the need for gay marriage.

Out of the entire bunch, one (1) has gotten married. Knowing very little about the couple, I said, "That's going to be a colossal mistake".

His "husband" was a con man who took the poor guy for a fortune, and they were divorced within the year. He's a decent guy, just can't make good decisions, and he'll be sorting this awful one out for most of the next decade.

Just my opinion, but I think that her friends like the idea of being married, a whole lot more than actual marriage. It's hard for a narcissist - particularly a flaky one like all of Mrs. WBill's friends - to surrender 1/2 of what they want, all the time. A marriage is a ton of hard work and a lifetime commitment, and worth every bit of it.

Say hello to Supreme Court justice nominee Gorsuch's "pastor":

Church leader Rev. Susan Springer, 58, (above presiding over Christmas mass in 2013) has said she is pro-gay marriage and offers blessings to same-sex couples

I addressed my thoughts on this when it was first revealed. Some good people are members of bad churches because it is a generational thing, that is The extended family has been a part of the church for years - and the judge does not wish to make waves.

I can’t defend the judge because I have never met him - I wish he had made a different choice.

We have had great leaders in our nation that did not have a solid personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Gorsuch was born in Denver, Colorado, and attended Christ the King Roman Catholic School.[12]

Well then, Gorsuch should withdraw his nomination because they is no way he can do the job.

I admit, though - I do have some pause that the democrats did not resist his earlier nomination to the court, of which he received 100%.

Haha...wait until the true percentage of same sex divorces come out. I'm betting it's higher than traditional and traditional isn't doing very well.
