They are both consummate “politicians”...The less they do...The longer they drag things out...The less trouble they think they can get into...

It is the “professional politician’s” way to do nothing, but talk, talk, and talk and try to leave the impression that they are working hard...

Ryan & McConnell fail to move Trump Agenda Forward...Replace them!!!

I doubt that many here were fooled when Paul Ryno and Mitch "0bama's Bitch" smiled and pretended to be friends with Trump.

They're part of the swamp!

I’ve been for replacing them for a long time. But...

What has Trump requested that they haven’t done?

We don’t want those two leading, they will screw things up if they go it alone. Let Trump lead.

Trump’s people have been consented to.

Those two are a problem because of their mouths and their values. But are they really holding things up?

The GOPe is as big of a threat to our nation as the Dems. Those are my thoughts.

I wasn't aware that Trump has yet submitted any draft legislation to Congress. Nor would I expect him too, with his cabinet and subcabinet not yet in place. The first big test will come when Trump submits his first budget.

The move to repeal and replace Obamacare is underway. But there is a wide gap between campaign statements and actual legislation. Unless the Republicans are ready to nuke the filibuster, this will need to be enacted via reconciliation. The clock is ticking on that, but it is contingent on the budget.

For better or worse, we don’t have a parliamentary democracy—we have a separation of powers. Compared to other systems, the U.S. President has comparatively little power over the other branches of government. Old-fashion arm twisting may be employed—as can threats regarding the mid-terms.

It would be nice to replace Ryan and Turtle—it would be nice to replace at least 95% of congress.

I’ve always felt that it wasn’t the Democrats in Congress that Trump had to worry about. It was the Republicans.

I am beginning to lose my patience with them, but legislative activity is by nature, slow moving.

I’d suggest taking a deep breath. President Trump was sworn in only one month ago. Ryan and McConnell are not the ideal folks to have there, but they are moving rapidly by Congressional standards. We want the US to “extreme vet” the folks coming into the country; Congress “extreme vets” people nominated for high office.

What did you expect? And how realistic is that?

‘ample time’ = 8 LONG YEARS!

I am no fan of either, but take a deep breath. The executive order flurry is over and now the big goals take legislation (written laws) so it’s far more complicated.

Nothing happens quickly on the hill and it has been that way forever. Bills go through committee and then they come out to the floor for a vote and it’s on to the senate committee - etc. etc.

It is logistically impossible for the congress to work as quickly as Trump did in his first month. This is why they should have had the bills already written and even then it would be a process because everyone sticks their fingers in it.
