One Month In - is Obamacare still around? [Vanity]

Just starting a discussion on the PROMISED repeal. My prediction was that if is wasn't repealed in the first month, it would NEVER be repealed, just tinkered with.

The Obama Adminstration has been doing every trick possible, legal and illegal, to hide the true cost of ObamaCare from the American people- including illegally diverting unallocated taxpayer money to float the system

2016 was the first year the real costs started to show up as premium price.

Even with massive dark money support, many ObamCare exchanges are insolvent and insurers are exiting the markets

This fall enrollment is going to give massive sticker shock to for health insurance pricing

The roll out of 2017 ObamaCare price structure is going to be the time to repeal the mess

Obamacare should be referred to as establishment care! They now have the power to repeal this monstrosity, but refuse. Give the establishment proper credit and let them run for reelection with the albatross around their necks- drain the swamp!

My understanding -- and I will be glad to be corrected if I'm mistaken -- is that, by its design and implementation, Obamacare would be very difficult to simply "repeal." Although the law was passed once, it was altered, stretched, augmented, and "interpreted" so many times over the intervening years that, like the tentacles of an octopus, it inserted itself into so many portions of the economy and society.

So, rather than just being "repealed and replaced," it actually needs to be rooted out of every segment where its influence has been introduced. And that has to be done properly without destroying everything around it.

Not sure if I fully explained my viewpoint, but there it is.

Unfortunately, commie care requires legislation, not executive order.

That’s why I always believed, and still do, that repeal-period is the way to go.

Obamacare is a metastatic malignant tumor. President Trump has already done the surgery to eliminate the taxes that were feeding it. However, it is a much longer process to use chemotherapy to get rid of the rest in every corner of the nation.

The end result is to destroy all of the cancer, not the cancer patient. If anything, the Republicans are very averse to harming people if at all possible not to.

So we need to still be polite, but firm. Get rid of the cancer as carefully as you can, but get rid of it. Chemo doesn’t end until our nation is Obamacare-free.

Repealing obamacare is somewhat like untangling last year’s Christmas tree lights.

It’s been around long enough to be intertwined with lots of agencies, departments insurance companies, medical entities, and gimmedats.

There are those in congress who are arguing that their idea is best...some fighting it just because they hate Trump.

One month on the job...I would still be looking for the cafeteria after only one month at the job.

It’s ludicrous and unrealistic to be having a tantrum because the repeal isn’t a DONE DEAL in just one month. It’s just Trump bashing while trying to seem innocent.

No...I take that back, it’s no “ludicrous”, it’s utter stupidity.

Look up the recent Interview Hannity did with Ryan. It explains the Parliamentary steps required to get it done.

On one hand, noting that I admired Apple founder Steve Jobs, just as with Job’s infamous “fickle,” but highly profitable management style, I will allow Pres. Trump the flexibility to change his mind on how he resolves problems when he learns new information and gets new ideas about a given product.

On the other hand, I don’t see why Trump and Congress cannot ram an Obamacare repeal through the system with the same speed that low-information Democratic lawmakers irresponsibly rammed unconstitutional Obamacare down our throats.

Did I just mention Congress?

Remember in November 2018 !

I need to buy a private policy (non-employer) soon...need a high-deductible one w/o all the Obamacare crud in it (no “free” annuals, no “free” mammograms, no “free” contraceptives, no pregnancy coverage, etc., etc.).

Repeal O-care now! (Actually I’ll give Mr. Trump 100 days to get it done...that is more than generous since it was supposed to gone in the 1st couple weeks)(and don’t bother with a so-called “replacement”).

Their reluctance to repeal it reveals that they like it, or find it politically expedient.

Hey Einstein, Congress ALREADY PASSED REPEAL SEVERAL times, most recently in 2015.

Why don't they float that same bill, or were they lying to us in 2015?

One of the best explanations I’ve heard in a long time. Thanks.

But I kept hearing promises of repeal on “Day One.” I’m just tired of the lies.

And no, I don’t think it’s going anywhere. No one in charge has the political will, and without exercising it, the GOP will be out of power in 2 years, and won’t be able to do anything anyway.
