wow
Outstanding.
Love it! Post of the decade! Inspiring! Fine work-
Outstanding job. You must have the patience of a saint.
Looks great.
I know from experience that Trumpeter isn’t exactly easy to work with, nor are they accurate.
Whew! That was a lot of work - just taking the pictures!
Fantastic- thanks for sharing!
“....no way am I going to blw them up.
Perhaps you could add a bunch of Iranian swarm attack boats, each of them with a built in lady finger or similar, all wired together....
I did the same thing. Kept the stash alive. I was going to wait unitl retirement, but 7 year ago with the cancer, Gail wisely got me to start...now that my medical retirement came through, I am begin to whittle away at the stash. See: http://www.jeffhead.com/modelbuilds/
The LCS and Burkes ought to be taking those speed boats out far and away from the carrier. I hope Trump lets them do so a few times. ME thinks it is time for another Operation Preying Mantis or two.
Wowzer!! Now that is a project.
I bought my grandson a F4U Corsair model last week. I’m sending him your project to allow him to see what can be accomplished
Thanks for your excellent report
I bought and built a F-4U a few months back.
Here's the site:

Here are some pics of the finished model:
Thanks.....
RE:A7
I lived on base at Subic Bay, in line with the end of the runway at NAS Cubi Point. On rotation, the carriers would sail on Saturday and the planes would leave on Sunday mornings to meet up.
There was at least one squadron of A-7’s that would turn and climb straight up, vertically, waking us all up with the rumble. It was strictly illegal but hey..... they were going off to Vietnam again
The A-7 corsair II was a good aircraft. it had GREAT maneuverability, it could carry a LOT of weaponry, and it could loiter...was good on fuel so the guys on the ground liked them.
I was working on revs to the aircraft in the late 1970s.
LAter wile working with Structural Dynamics Research Corporation I got to wrk with quite a fe other projects (people who worked for me did the majority of the work then, I was managing the programs) like the NSSN whch bcame the Virginia SSN project, worked on THADDS with Lockheed, got to work on the Shuttle with Thiokol...really enjoyed that work and have always loved the ships. My Dad d=served in world War II as a combat officer in the Pacific. He stayed in the reseves well into the 50s afterwards.
My parents, God bless both of their souls, were good Christian, patrtio=tic Americans and good parents.
Thank you sir, for your outstanding work and report.
Dadgum, that’s impressive.
Well done.
I dedicate the build to him. Best President and CINC in my life time for sure...and probably a whole lot longer.
God rest his soul.
Thanks guys. I really enjoy doing it...and I wanted to do the Reagen in this scale because having his name addded to the carrier means a lot to anyone who lived through the cold war and the turn around he and his administration brought about.
They changed the world...and then our nation elected Clinton to run us back down...and then Obama to drive us into the ground.
Thank God we got Trump in...I truly believe it was miraculous and that we had help from above in it happening.
Amen
