Hundreds of parents across the country have called on President Donald Trump to embrace Obama-era protections for transgender students that allow them use to school bathrooms in accord with their gender identity.
In a letter sent to the president by the Human Rights Campaign late Tuesday, more than 780 parents stressed that “all students deserve equal access to a safe, welcoming school and a high quality education no matter who they are.”
The call follows a decision by the Trump administration last week to abandon a defense of the guidelines that had been issued by the Obama administration. A court issued an injunction against those guidelines last summer in response to a lawsuit filed by 13 states. This issue belongs to the States, and local communities period. It is also the stupidest idea I ever heard. Many places have a handicap bathroom that is used by either. Let them use that or what ever is on the birth certificate determines gender.
I’m beginning to think that people have been too polite for too long. Some of this stuff should just be ridiculed, because trying to discuss it just lends legitimacy.

Obamas order was an overreach into the powers of the states to regulate such matters, as per the Constitution. Another part of Trumps response.

Indeed they do but regardless of how they look or act, they are either male (those with a penis) or female (those with a vagina) there is no other choice.
I think lockable separate rooms brings its own set of problems, especially in school settings. I think the solution is just don’t give special privileges to those who are or claim to be mentally ill.
It’s bad enough straight men have to put up with gay men in their private facilities. But at least they are men too. Believing/claiming you are a woman doesn’t mean you aren’t attracted to women. Women shouldn’t have to put up with men using their facilities when it’s common sense that putting on a dress doesn’t change the nature of male attraction.

President Trump, whom I strongly support, needs to do a better job on the gay/transgender issues. Some 80% of white evangelicals supported him (as well as most Protestants and Catholics), and he needs to remember that. He needs to firmly come out in support of religious liberty with an executive order and he needs to, at the very least, leave this to the states. Ivanka and her husband are a negative influence on this issue. Places like NYC and San Fran will never be his supporters so he needs to remember where his bread is buttered.
But I’ll close by reiterating that I think Donald Trump is a great president.
We were told by these mentally ill freaks that it REALLY WASN’T THAT BIG A DEAL, that they just go into the stall and do their business and THEY’VE BEEN DOING IT THE WHOLE TIME ANYWAY, SO WHY NOT JUST MAKE IT A RULE so they don’t get BULLIED?!?!
The last time I checked, it’s against the law to assault somebody. So we already have enough laws on the books to handle the situation.
Also a large number of public facilities now have a neutral restroom (usually called a family room). So if you are too stupid or crazy to know if you have a penis or a vagina, you can use that one.
But no, it’s got to be the women’s room. Because let’s face it, nobody thinks of men’s rooms as a powdered, perfumed paradise, so if you’re a mentally ill woman who thinks she has a penis, nobody really cares. You’re not likely to get beaten up, you’re just liable to pee on your own leg. UNLESS of course you sit down in a stall, which NOBODY wants to do in a men’s room.
So it’s an attack on normal women that is desired here.

Those *parents* should be spending more time with their children. They’re obviously acting out for their attention.
If the trendygenders think they’re gonna get beat up in the restroom of their biological sex, what makes them think they WONT get punched out when they force themselves into the other restroom?
If the schools accommodate them (”them”: we’re talking one out of maybe 100,000) by allowing them to use the restroom in the teachers’ lounge, or whatever, then that protects them from the source of their paranoia, IOW other students whom they think might “bully” or attack them.
So, that is the most that should be offered or required, if anything at all.
Enough already.
Private rooms end all concerns that I can see.
I’m not even addressing transgenders. I wanted private rooms BEFORE all of this.
It’s safer for kids, more secure for everyone, and just as cheap.
The private port-o-lets at little league fields and county fairs around the nation prove that it works just fine.

Take the parent’s names down..
Later when there are better laws, round them up for sexual abuse of a child, depraved endangerment of a child, etc.
Arrest them and put them in sex offender lists.
That is exactly right, hundreds support boys going into the girls restroom. The other tens of thousands of parents want that stopped.
