Hundreds of parents across the country have called on President Donald Trump to embrace Obama-era protections for transgender students that allow them use to school bathrooms in accord with their gender identity.
In a letter sent to the president by the Human Rights Campaign late Tuesday, more than 780 parents stressed that “all students deserve equal access to a safe, welcoming school and a high quality education no matter who they are.”
The call follows a decision by the Trump administration last week to abandon a defense of the guidelines that had been issued by the Obama administration. A court issued an injunction against those guidelines last summer in response to a lawsuit filed by 13 states. President Barack Obama appealed the injunction, but the Trump administration decided to back off from that appeal. …

So out of a population of 318 million, we have "hundreds" with an issue. I wouldn't exactly classify this as a rampant and urgent crisis that has to be dealt with.

Tomorrow, I haven’t decided between identifying as a sheet of yellow construction paper or tweezers but either way, I want to be addressed as such and an extra special restroom.

I think ALL restrooms and locker rooms should be single occupant. It wasn’t secure before the transies tried to gain access to their peep shows.
As large as these places are in schools and departments stores, they could have a row of 6-8 separate, lockable, secure rooms.
It’s silly to pretend that somehow our kids were safe in any of those large public, multi-person rooms. No self-respecting parent/guardian would ever send a young child into one of them unaccompanied. We all know that we followed that safety practice because it was not safe any other way.
