MILO: Dear Half Of America, We At Sears F*****g Hate You!

Hi folks! Eddie Lampert, CEO of Sears Holdings here! I’ve been reliably informed that everyone who’s anyone in conservative America reads MILO, and he has been gracious enough to lend me his column today to send you a simple message — Sears and our other failing brand K-Mart f'ing hate you!

We’re not the first company to think of this innovative customer relations strategy. Nordstrom took the bold first leap into openly shitting on their own shoppers by dumping Ivanka Trump’s clothing line — but be realistic conservatives, that particularly racist cissexist misogynistic antisemitic transphobic fatphobic treephobic icecreamphobic autoerotasphyxiaphobic hate-mongering member of the first family had it coming. Never mind that she is a woman married to a Jewish man, just trust my virtue-signalling!

It makes sense for Sears and K-Mart to dump the Trump Home Collection. In fact, I’m struggling to figure out why we didn’t do it sooner. I guess we can’t be accused of being the rocket scientists of the retail world. Just think of the advantages this presents. We’re closing 150 stores by April. If we didn’t piss off half of America with a move against the democratically elected commander in chief and his family, imagine how crowded our remaining stores could be!

This is refreshing. Maybe a part of America will not buy chinese crap anymore and go back to spending a bit at local mom pop gun shops for gear

These dumbasses actually invented online shopping. Dog-earring the Sear’s Catalog was how browsing started.

That they doubled down on a ‘bricks only’ strategy in the 90’s was cute. Inheriting K-Mart’s cancer was adorable.

Now they deserve to die. The employees should lay siege to HQ, then tar and feather the board and C-suite.

Sears: Their slogan should be “You can’t fix stupid.”

What’s happened to Sears says a lot about what’s been going on in America over the last 40 or so years, and it really makes me sad.

With all the people I’ve known, getting a Sears credit card was a part of becoming an adult. Making only those purchases you can afford to pay off at the end of the month, being an adult meant I was responsible enough NOT to buy something I wanted if I couldn’t afford it right now. I remember my first purchase at Sears, a starter Craftsman tool kit, and a small tool box.

Later, I furnished my first house at Sears. Washer, dryer, refrigerator, and microwave, all Kenmore, financed through Sears, and when I sold the house 23 years later, all of the appliances I bought at Sears were still running, and went with the house.

Their clothing was decent quality, and lasted a very long time. Craftsman tools were what you bought because you couldn’t afford Snap-On, but the quality was every bit as good. I used to get my auto serviced at Sears, anything I couldn’t do myself. I bought tires there, and I never needed more than one DieHard battery - I’d buy one when the battery in my car failed, and I never bought more than one for any car I owned, and I don’t believe I’ve ever owned a car for less than 10 years.

The company was terrific, and I was a loyal customer.

I recently went to a Sears, more out of curiosity than anything else. I noticed that the quality of tools had dropped markedly. The last time I had bought tools at Sears was right after buying my Ducati motorcycle, and I needed the metric wrenches and sockets, as well as T-handle Allen wrenches. That was in 1997, and they were still quite well made. Not so much any more.

Mark

That’s pretty much my experience. The last time I was in Sears many years ago I was hounded by three different employees to buy an extended service agreement.
Told the last one, “I don’t need to hear the pitch” and he acted put out. Last time.
Snow thrower has been great!

That was really funny.
What the leftist do best is destroy things .
You have to be insane to let any of them run anything.

Sears sucks.
They claim to have a 5 year warranty on the “DieHard” battery. Mine failed after less than 2 years. They failed to honor their warranty and had horrendously bad customer “service” when I tried to get my money back. They finally gave me a whole 50 bucks back. The battery was for my V-8 truck and I got what I thought was a great battery around 200 bucks.

I never went back to Sears again. Never will. Hope they go out of business.

Love the article, also love Milo, my favorite pink-haired gay guy.

Funny, and well deserved.

Also sad, because what has happened to Sears is a damn tragedy.

You said a mouthfull. Was in Sears a little after Christmas and picked up a bunch of tools at slashed prices. The store shelves were basically empty. They’re definitely going under.

I once worked for Sears when it was run by sane people.

A couple weeks ago, my daughter wanted to buy me/my wife a new Washington machine. Our old Kenmore, a great model, had lost its spin/drain cycle commands so we couldn’t get them out spun dry.

Well, my daughter called Sears to talk about buying one (we have a Sears nearby, the very store I worked in) and found out that she was talking to somebody in Minnesota or Mumbai, she wasn’t really sure.

We would have had to buy the washer over the internet and have it delivered at some ridiculous fee. THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN.

We got it from a local store who not only delivered and installed it, but also took away the old machine for a very nominal fee.

I think I’ll go and find my old Sears employee badge and burn it, just like the lefties do.

Sadly, I bought a slightly dinked eater heater from Sears in 1988, took it home and installed in myself. It lasted from 1988 to 2015 without any problems then finally gave up the ghost.

Today, it cost you an arm and your first child for a new water heater with only 3 years warranties or a 6 year one if you play through the nose.

NO WONDER AMERICANS ARE PISSED AT NOT BEING ABLE TO BUY AMERICAN-MADE EQUIPMENT THAT LASTS.

I think the election of Donald Trump as president was also an economic statement by people who wanted “QUALITY” back in their goods and services.

Sears, Nordstroms, K-Mart etc can count me out as a customer after 50 some years. I’m speaking with my money, not just my mouth.

Adios pendejos. You’ve earned your unemployed status.

Speaking of hot water heaters, where I live, homeowners are NOT ALLOWED to install their own water heaters. They must pay a “certified professional” a “fee” to have it installed for them.

TYRANNY, so much TYRANNY.
