According to emerging reports from Yemen, a surface-to-surface missile fired by the Yemeni Army has hit the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The missile was launched on Sunday evening, and sources in Yemen have described the missile test as successful. It is unclear exactly what missile was used, and casualty figures, if any, are yet to be reported.
Saudi Arabia intervened military in the Yemeni Conflict in 2015, leading a coalition of almost 10 Middle Eastern countries. In October 2016, a Yemeni activist warned that Riyadh was the next target for a Yemeni missile attack.
Update: More information has emerged, suggesting that the missile was a variant of a Russian Scud missile, known as the Borkan surface-to-surface missile.

They support the sunni gov. forces. Iran supports the shia houthi rebels.
Yeah. Notice the King of Saudi Arabia didn’t issue a wussified exhortation to his people to refrain from engaging in anti-mooselimb sentiment.
If you'd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

No other reports other than from this underlying source. Coming so soon after a Yemini attack on a Saudi warship, thought by the Pentagon to have been intended to hit a US warship, quite possible. Were Obama still around, launching attacks on the US would be safer than the Saudis. Wonder where Yemen acquires ballistic missiles? Not Iran, we've tamed them, they're spending the US refund domestically I'm sure.
I just spent some time poking around the site. It has a lot of “local” news on it. It also has an obvious pro Syrian/Russian bias. However, it looks like if you can read between the lines, you could glean a lot of actual news.
While the US media has not picked up this story yet, it appears tp be real.
AM, please move this into real News, into actual FR “Breaking News”.
Iran vows to use ‘roaring missiles’ if threatened and defies new sanctions
headline yesterday
Iran is floating in US provided terror funds. Love the description as a "test". Can North Korea test their missles on Los Angeles? How else will they know they have the reach. Better to start with tests on Hawaii. Obama would have understood.
Dang, FR is fast! :)
How many Yemeni refugees has Saudi Arabia taken in?
If it's real the media has to find a was of speculating the missle was provided by Israel, or bought with Trump money, before running with it. If they can't, back pages. Or a reaction to US incitement by sending the USS Cole to the region.
WOW!
The Saudis are lots of things, many hostile to this country, but stupid isn't one of them. Looks like we've taken in about 25,000. The biggest surge looks to be in the Bush years, continuing under Obama.
Thanks to barry soetoro.
For Saudi Arabia.
They’re not our friends.
I am obviously worried about our assets there... but I’d love DJT to tell the Saudis ‘ya know, I’d help, but I’m just swamped lately.’
Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!
I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!
I will be interviewed by @oreillyfactor at 4:00 P.M. (prior to the #SuperBowl Pre-game Show) on Fox Network. Enjoy!
It was just a test... no big deal
So that was a “Let’s see if we can do it.” shot, and now they’re loading up a warhead?
Geez Louise.
Since we never addressed Saudi Arabia’s direct complicity in 9/11, who do we send Thank You to if they have leveled Riyadh?
WHATS NOT TO LIKE..?
Exactly. I've said for years that we just need to pursue a policy of destabilization in the Middle East. Get them so wound up on killing each other, they'll forget we exist for at least a few decades. No matter who loses, we win.
