Yep. My complaint is the way they make it sound like it could happen to anyone of one us. I could clearly understand (sort of) if he had stored it and forgotten about it. That could be blamed on a mistake. Making a deliberate bad decision is not a mistake, but our society routinely associates criminal activity with “mistakes.”

Fact that this guy had prior convictions for drug offenses did not help. The authorities just didn’t believe he “found” it.

40+ or - years ago when it was pot floating we called it square grouper. At least one local fisherman bought himself a nice house and a new truck and a new very young wife of a sudden, and paid of all his large debts. He died of old age a dozen years later and was never bothered about his unsourced prosperity. He left the wife well established with an income that was not derived from his Social Security.
