Keep an eye on your TV just before halftime of Sundays Super Bowl matchup between the Falcons and Patriots. Thats when 84 Lumber will air the following ad:
This isnt the original version of the ad. For that, youll have to see 84 Lumbers website during halftime of the big game. When 84 Lumber and their agency partner, Brunner, submitted the ad to Fox for airing during the Super Bowl it was deemed too controversial.
84 Lumbers president and owner Maggie Hardy Magerko talked to the New York Times about the situation.
I still cant even understand why it was censored, she told the Times. In fact, Im flabbergasted by that in todays day and age. Its not pornographic, its not immoral, its not racist.

Would they run a Super Bowl ad, featuring an innocent young child, to highlight the injustice and heartlessness of abortion?
To libs, there's no such thing as illegal immigration, because borders and immigration laws are xenophobic, racist, and immoral to begin with.
This one commercial will probably be the last straw for a lot of conservative football fans. The message is unmistakable.
Nice to know lawlessness is an 84Lumber corporate value.
Lots of other places to spend your $$$.
And yes, I know expecting people to follow the law is racist.
I’m okay with that...

I think the commercial is a trap as the conclusion of the commercial could not show them entering the county illegally.
Thus, the conclusion will show that they can legally enter the US or they never do enter the US.
The commercial originally showed the pair being confronted by the wall. Do you even read the articles you link?
You've gotta ask yourself, just what does that have to do with lumber? Or, is the owner of 84 Lumber just trying to make a political statement, and win brownie points with the left?
/rhetorical question
.
The destroyers thought that they had the election in the bag.
Now they’re coming out of the woodwork to scream in agony about Paradise Lost.
.
The only thing keeping the 84 Lumber parking lot from flying off into space are the illegals standing on it looking for day labor jobs.
.
You’re astoundingly confused.
Build that wall...Americans are sick and tired of paying for these deadbeats while many of them struggle to put food on their tables (think Appalachia).
So... I gather 84 Lumber didn’t get the contract on fenceposts in Texas.
I'm a tradesman with a small business. You should see the surprise on some people's faces when they see that my crew and I are all English speaking Americans.
I saw a crew of young white guys cutting grass one day last summer, and had to walk up and shake their hands. I told them to keep on fighting, and thanked them for taking back the business that is rightfully theirs.
I still cant even understand why it was censored, she told the Times. In fact, Im flabbergasted by that in todays day and age. Its not pornographic, its not immoral, its not racist.
I would say it is immoral. It advocates breaking the law and promotes the destruction of the United States through unlimitied immigration.
They are not illegal aliens until they illegally enter the United States illegally.
That’s why I think the conclusion of the commercial will not be as expected.

I guess they don’t realize that their money doesn’t come from Illegals, or General Contractors, but from people that have enough money to buy houses - and that’s often a different bunch. So, they too, must learn the hard way.
Exactly - they are gonna pi$$ off the people who (used to ) spend money in their stores.
Go to Home Depot. Arthur Blank and co have their stuff together.
They were two men. I saw it too. Blech!
If you ever need a greeting card, go to Hobby Lobby. They are about the only place where not every single card is a joke card. Humor has its place, but does it have to be in every card? They also, naturally, have a lot of cards with religious messages.
Stuff like this makes me sick to my stomach.
Millions of hard working American tradesmen have been run out of the construction industry over the last twenty years by illegal aliens who underbid them in the labor market.
I know, because I'm a tradesman with a small family business that has suffered tremendously at the hands of these people. They've easily taken a million dollars off my family's table over the last decade or so.
Instead of a commercial showing an immigrant mother trying to cross the border with her kid, why not show an unemployed American construction worker sitting in his beat up truck outside a jobsite, while Spanish speaking foreigners are in the background, gainfully employed?
Can't tell the true story of illegal immigration. That would be racist.
