Keep an eye on your TV just before halftime of Sundays Super Bowl matchup between the Falcons and Patriots. Thats when 84 Lumber will air the following ad:
This isnt the original version of the ad. For that, youll have to see 84 Lumbers website during halftime of the big game. When 84 Lumber and their agency partner, Brunner, submitted the ad to Fox for airing during the Super Bowl it was deemed too controversial.
84 Lumbers president and owner Maggie Hardy Magerko talked to the New York Times about the situation.
I still cant even understand why it was censored, she told the Times. In fact, Im flabbergasted by that in todays day and age. Its not pornographic, its not immoral, its not racist.

Prolly Christian or pro Trump. LOL
Looks like I won’t be patronizing 84 Lumber, either.
Sorry lady. Pandering to illegals is both immoral and racist.
Looks like 84 Lumber is about to find out just how many leftists and non-citizens buy lumber, because they’re going to lose everybody else.
The excerpt gives no clue to the gist of the article (or the headline).
Care to fill in the rest of us who don’t wish to click through just to understand this?
Pro illegal aliens....
Don’t know what that has to do with lumber. Liberal propaganda.
Ok, I don’t get it. Pointless as shown.
It’s a very sympathetic mock-documentary of a Mexican woman and her daughter journeying to the US. The little girl is even picking up garbage, so you know it’s propaganda because anyone who has ever dealt with or even lived anywhere near Mexican illegal immigrants knows that they throw their trash where they stand.
The original “controversial” ad had them confronted with a wall when they reached the border. Now, they’re not going to show the wall.
“Prolly Christian or pro Trump. LOL”
I have a feeling you did not look at the video.
It is not pro Trump.
Christian? Well, maybe in the eyes of the current Pope.
Looks like I wont be patronizing 84 Lumber, either.
Right, we can play the boycott game too. Do snowflakes even now what lumber is?
At the end they get to the border and Donald Trump and Steve Bannon jump out of the bushes and Steve Bannon kneels behind the Mom and Donald Trump pushes her over him and yells, “Get out of here, you look like Muslims.”
It’s just a Super Bowl Commercial by 84 Lumber.
It features a mom and daughter in Mexico apparently attempting to migrate to the United States.
It is not clear if they are attempting to enter legally.
..........another pandering to the liberals boo hoo ad designed to make Trump look bad!
Scratch 84 Lumber and I’ve bought a small fortune of stuff from them over the years for various projects.
Its a tease to get you to click on it. They just show the first half. A Mexican migrant worker and her daughter go through their tough life.
How many legal entrants walk into this country from Mexico?
You're very annoyingly sympathetic to the left side of any issue, have you noticed this?
Hope men,get the message about 84 Lumber.
I will not see it as I have been avoiding the NFL for years.
I did a double take when I saw an ad from Hallmark yesterday. It looked like they showed two men kissing in an embrace. It just seemed so disgusting that I thought it couldn’t have been what I saw.
Then they showed it again and it was true unless one was a very masculine looking female.
You silly person.Mexicans are "world citizens" and do not recognize the validity of borders.
I never heard of them, so looked it up:
‘84 Lumber is an American building materials supply company. 84 Lumber Company is the largest privately held building materials supplier to professional contractors and build-it-yourselfers in the United States.”
My guess is they are the largest private building materials supplier because they use all the cheap labor they can hire, thereby undercutting the competition.
I’m sorta hoping Trump sees the add and goes ballistic.
