“Hitler dictated his thoughts to an underling, who put them into book form.”

I believe it was Himmler who wrote/typed it as Hitler dictated it.
The former chicken farmer was the most frequent visitor Hitler had while he was in prison.

You could be right, but I always thought it was Rudolf Hess.

Had NO idea Himmler was an erstwhile chicken farmer. Amazing. As to him being the one, without looking it up all I can say is I trust your memory. It sounds right to me.

You have Himmler and Hess mixed up.
Humbler didn’t really come into his own until after Hitler gained power and particularly when Rohm was removed.
