At $500 a bottle that is 2 bottles of wine per day. That’s pretty dear stuff. If it is Ripple (say Chateau Ripple Blanc, Jan 30th vintage, 1.69 a pint) that is 74 gallons per day.
Two bottles of wine at $500 a bottle is very believable, I’m guessing most of his evenings are not spent alone and he has friends over. And of course probably two larger parties every week. Or - maybe it’s just himself, lonely, cradling his $1000 bottle every night. (Also believable).
