A winsome but hardworking Hungarian herding dog, a swift and ancient African hound and a playful, fur-free terrier are about to get their first shot at the most famous US canine championship. The pumi, the sloughi and the American hairless terrier will be newcomers at next month's Westminster Kennel Club dog show, competing among as many as 202 breeds and varieties for the coveted best in show award.

Maybe the choice of the people the Lab winning. I believe a Lab has never won this main event.
The AKC is getting worse than the NFL. Endless expansion. Then they’ll be forced to ‘re-align’ the groups — probably by adding 1 or more because the existing groups are unbalanced and over-large for the ring.
Another pet-peeve is the re-naming breeds with exotic sounding names from their alleged home-countries. People, it’s the “American Kennel Club” not the United Nations.

I’ve seen them. High energy and a handfull seems accurate description to me. I’d also call it one of the Dr. Suess breeds, cute but a little wacky looking.

Just watched a video on the Pumi. The narrator said they’re “mouthy” and want to be at the top of the pecking order, so the owner has to be strong-willed with them. Sounds like my kids when they were teenagers.
Cute animal. I’ve always tended towards medium-sized furry dogs.

Major pet peeve is the fake names and historys they tell.
Ie - Chinese Crested, Chihuahuas, and others (insert native breed here) have no relationship to China. Australian Shepherds are American,etc.
I would like to see an American dog group consisting of breeds with New World origins. There are quite a few of them now.
That would be great. We lost our Sweet Lab 2 years ago tomorrow. We miss her so.
