President Donald Trump’s travel ban barring citizens of seven predominantly Muslim nations entry into the U.S. has sparked protests around the country.

From the article: New York > 2000; Newark >120; Denver dozens; Portland several dozen; SanFrancisco several hundred; San Diego no mention of numbers.
Even if these numbers are true, which they are most likely exaggerated, they hardly fit the descriptions of being “massive” or “across the US”.

I think you misunderstood. There were two points to my comment and that was to demonstrate, especially to to those around here who lackadaisically support CalExit, that there are patriots in California who will not stand for this as I alluded to in my previous comment.
The second point is to underscore the complete lack of power the Democrats have on a national level. They have been reduced to city-state status and that Californians outside of those bubbles have no sympathy for their antics.
