She stopped for a ‘child’ in the road. Then men in dark hoodies appeared.

Same here. I was at my cousins in Arkansas who lives right off a main road. At 4:00 in the morning the doorbell started going off. I met him at the front door and he had his gun in his hand. Some guys car had broke down and wanted to use his phone. He said his cell was dead. After it was all over I told him....there’s no way I’d be answering my door to strangers at 4 in the morning. If he’s too stupid to charge his phone he can walk back to town.

In my car is always a 9mm Browning Parabellum. It is to bulky to carry around so in my pocket is a Glock 43 when I am out of my vehicle. I carry anyplace that it is legal.

I am very adept with firearms as I have been shooting since I was 11 years old under proper supervision when I was young. When I turned 13 I was allowed to have my own firearm in my room. That was kinda normal in West Texas back in the sixties. It was an old remington nylon 22 long rifle. Many a rabbit met its end from that old weapon.

Oddly enough I no longer hunt. I just got tired of killing. I have absolutely no problems with hunters. My dear friend hunts on my land and he shares his game with me. Deer meat is delectable. I have a freezer full of it today.

I have never used a firearm in an illegal fashion. I will never use a firearm in an illegal fashion. I will use a firearm to prevent violence against myself, my loved ones and innocents. I am very good with them.

I have a gun range on my land a frequently use it. I do enjoy shooting. It is a game of competing against yourself and your friends. We always make good shots but the real game is who makes the best shot. It is great fun.

My friend reloads ammunition and his game is to make ammunition that exceeds the best commercial ammunition that can be bought. He has meet this goal. We have fun. His first reloads kinda sucked but he now makes ammo of extreme accuracy. Many deer can attest to his skill.

This is Texas and that is just the way it is!

Some of us are, at least. Yet they still do it. They can’t help it.

These click-bait headlines just drive me nuts. Why do they all do this now?

They've been doing it for some years ....

lol..Did u attend my seminar???

Don’t think so.....<: <: <:

I still have the ‘attitude’ of running towards the flames and gunfire....

Crazy, I know, but I still think two or three steps ahead of the situation..

Guess from my baseball playing days.
While in the field you should be analyzing what you will do in different scenarios a couple pitches away..

Kept pushing that at my Grandson and he finally ‘got it’.

My other ‘life advice(baseball)’ is dive for everything hit in your direction.
You wont catch them all but on occasion you may knock something down you wouldn’t by just standing there and ‘waving’ your glove at it, you get your uniform dirty ‘early’ and everyone will think you are hustling ALL the time. Add a little talent to that theory and NO coach would sit you.

He ended up in HS being on the front end of a triple play, a whisker from being unassisted.
Bases loaded, no out, he dives to left for scorcher down line, snares it, takes the half step to double runner off 3rd, looks toward 2nd - no on there, throws to 1st for triple play.
I told him to tell anyone he paused because he thought he could get the runner coming into 3rd.....

Very next inning, he caught a liner where one doesn’t want to catch a line drive..

I think it was the ‘Lords Way’ of telling him who really was in charge....

OH YES, I found a way to ‘criticize’ him every chance - just to keep him on his toes....and especially when it wasn’t his need for a haircut that kept making his hat get smaller....<: <:

With me or my wife, they would have ended up looking down a barrel - with the window at the point of aim descending...

I grew up just outside of Newport. Left there in 1978 to join the Navy. My Dad’s side of the family had been in the area since about 1720. It was a nice quiet little town about 10 miles from MCAS Cherry Point. We had very little crime. But there was one time, in 1975 (I was 16) when a girl (15) was strangled while taking a shortcut thru some woods going home from a local arcade. They never proved who did it but the main suspect was a Marine. I have never forgotten her.

“Anyone in real trouble has a cell phone.”

Hope your battery is always charged and that there is cell phone coverage in the area. Otherwise no help will be forthcoming.

Correct you are. But back then it was tabloids. Today, as Letterman said, they used the same headline in the Times.

Battery is always charged, and the charger is always plugged in, and I never leave town.
