LOL, On a local trail in the area one day and I came across a young buck that misjudged his leap over a fence of 6” square wire mesh. His hind legs were stuck. Fortunately he was also right next to a tree so that blocked him from turning at me from that side and it allowed me an opportunity to get in there and see if I could free him. It took a little effort and a few times having to stop to settle him down but after about 20 minutes, I was able to release him. Though he had a few cuts on his legs, he was fine and bounded off through the woods and out of sight.
Not 30 seconds after he disappeared through the trees, from that direction and not far off at all, I hear “KA-POW!”
Haha, Ugh... Didn’t even bother to go find out. Didn’t want to know... :-)
At least you tried. Your conscience is clear. :)
Wow. Like those stories where the guy survives the harrowing airplane crash and on the way home from the hospital dies in a car wreck. I guess even for deer, when it’s your time to go, it’s your time to go!
