After leading a Women’s March during the Sundance Film Festival, talkshow host Chelsea Handler sat down with Variety‘s Elizabeth Wagmeister for an interview.

During the chat, she was asked if she would ever interview Donald Trump. She’s already told other outlets she would never do that, but this time, the follow-up question was whether she’d ever consider Melania Trump.

I hadn't known who she was until I watched an episode of "Who Do You Think You Are." She spent the whole program trying to track down info on whether her grandfather was a Nazi. He'd served as a soldier in several German units during WWII, was taken prisoner and sent to a POW camp in the U.S. She tried very hard to find info that although her grandfather had served in the military, he hadn't shared the same ideology as Nazi Party members. She was never able to prove that theory, but it's the one she most likely stuck with.

After the war ended, her grandfather went back to Germany, but brought his family back to the U.S. to live. For someone whose ancestors were foreign-born, she seems to be very short-sighted when it comes to other foreign-born individuals, unless they've come here illegally.

This is another double standard. We all know what would happen if ANYONE would have refused Moochelle Obama. The cries of racism and sexism and whatever other ism would have been deafening and prolonged. Moochelle would have achieved sainthood, again, and a someone would have been brought up on “hate crime” charges. Handler is a racist, a hater, and a liberal. That last one says it all.
