A Real Women's Point OF View on the March

Posted on 01/22/2017 8:43:11 AM PST by aragona

This is reposted from a friend on FB, and expresses the view of the other 150M woman who did not attend the march.

I am not a "disgrace to women" because I don't support the women's march. I do not feel I am a "second class citizen" because I am a woman. I do not feel my voice is "not heard" because I am a woman. I do not feel I am not provided opportunities in this life or in America because I am a woman. I do not feel that I "don't have control of my body or choices" because I am a woman. I do not feel like I am " not respected or undermined" because I am a woman. I am not a "victim" because you say I am. I AM a woman. I can make my own choices. I can speak and be heard. I can VOTE. I can work if I want. I can stay home if I want. I control my body. I can defend myself. I can defend my family. There is nothing stopping me to do anything in this world but MYSELF. I do not blame my circumstances or problems on anything other than my own choices or even that sometimes in life, we don't always get what we want. I take responsibility for myself. I am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend. I am not held back in life but only by the walls I choose to not go over which is a personal choice. Quit blaming. Take responsibility. If you want to speak, do so. But do not expect for me, a woman, to take you seriously wearing a pink va-jay-jay hat on your head and screaming profanities and bashing men. If you have beliefs, and speak to me in a kind matter, I will listen. But do not expect for me to change my beliefs to suit yours. Respect goes both ways. If you want to impress me, especially in regards to women, then speak on the real injustices and tragedies that affect women in foreign countries that do not that the opportunity or means to have their voices heard. Saudi Arabia, women can't drive, no rights and must always be covered. China and India, infantcide of baby girls. Afghanistan, unequal education rights. Democratic Republic of Congo, where rapes are brutal and women are left to die, or HIV infected and left to care for children alone. Mali, where women can not escape the torture of genital mutilation. Pakistan, in tribal areas where women are gang raped to pay for men's crime. Guatemala, the impoverished female underclass of Guatemala faces domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS after sub-Saharan Africa. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages. Or the 7 year old girls being sold or married off to 60 year old men, Or the millions of women sold and bought into sex trafficking. And that's just a few examples. So when women get together in AMERICA and whine they don't have equal rights and march in their clean clothes, after eating a hearty breakfast, and it's like a vacation away that they have paid for to get there... This WOMAN does not support it.

Ouchthatonehurt :" This sounds like the women in my life.

If you analyze the countries where women are held to be subservient or held as chattel,
you will notice that there is some form of 'gun control', or
the women are held as 'defenseless' due to custom or law.

Thank you. This is how I feel too.

I have never ever, not even for one minute, felt I am a victim because I am a woman. I live in a country and at a time when women (and men) have the highest standard of living of any humans that have ever lived.

Are there things to improve? Sure. But all I see all around me is ingratitude.

Friends badgered me to try to get me to go to the march. I said I don’t have anything in common with these women except that I’m a woman. That’s it. Nothing else in common with them whatsoever. I do not share their perpetual victimhood and never will. It disgusts me.

One of the people trying to get me to go to the march is a woman who has a college degree (they allowed her to go to college, imagine that!) and a cushy government job where she makes nearly $200,000 per year (they let her have a job!). She bought her own home with her own money (They let her buy a house!) and her own car (they let her drive!). She can vote and she can travel anywhere in the world she wants. She has enough money socked away for a very comfortable retirement.

In short, she is lives at the pinnacle of wealth and opportunity that has ever existed for women (and men) at any time in human history.

And yet she is angry and disgruntled and is a perpetual victim of the apparently sexist system we live in.

I feel only disgust at people like her. I have NOTHING in common with people this clueless and ungrateful.

I saw this awesome posting on FB and it is awesome. What a smart lady. I have just come from a rather large meeting of women of different ages and not one is in lock step with that march yesterday. Question: I have heard that half that group was male and many were children. Is that true and are they being counted as women?

It was really the cultural marxist’s Vagina Walk. It does not represent all women only crazy leftist women with their pink little vagina hats! Can you say code pink for communists?

There are so many civil rights violations against women that the Vagina Walkers ignore Sex slaves, genital mutilation, honor killings, the rape of women by Bill Clinton! They demonized the naive 22 year old intern who never had any power in her trist with Clinton and the women of their own party who accused Bill Clinton of rape. Where were their woman rights Walk then?

Did you know that genital mutilation is on the rise in the US?

As always the cultural Marxists cloak their true agenda because they kno a majority of people won’t buy it. Time for the big reveal! The Vagina Walkers should be called out for what they really are.

I told her all that was conjecture and I recall her vocally backing Hillary Clinton and you sure didn't have any problem with all the foreign money she Took

I agree 100%.

There was a time when I was discriminated against because I am a woman. I was told when I was majoring in engineering in 1965 that I would not get higher than a “C”, that I belonged home pregnant and washing the floor. I could not get a summer internship because I was told I would only leave to get married.

But that was a long time ago and things have changed.

I like men and do not find them to be the evil misogynists women like this seem to think they are.

Sex discrimination occurs anytime there is a longer line for the ladie's room than for the men's room.

It also occurs on airplanes where women have more room for their knees than men do.

Thank you for letting us know that most women ARE NOT like those in the march, but the exact opposite. God bless you!

Can you imagine a world in which the loonies found in this march were actually IN CONTROL?

I thought it was men who were crude, course, cursing, ugly, domineering, controlling, rude, offensive, etc.......but here women are taking on the worst traits of the worst men - only amplified by many times!

IMAGINE if these women filled our Congress - and White House?

REMEMBER ONE THING: Almost all of the women in this march ARE LIBERALS/PROGRESSIVES - and they are what the world will look like if they get in power!

Being superior to males in every way (I know because these marchers this weekend told me so), I'm sure it would be no problem, no problem at all learning to pee faster than men.

For decades, it has been one thing after another to make women into a type of ‘man.’ Complete with increasingly outlandish behavior of the gutter dweller.

Now, we are inundated with a pseudo-man of trans women. A type of ‘going beyond’ existence of non-gender.

In walks blue suede gloves and a baby blue bolero overtop a svelte, ladylike female, and we all catch our breath. Women haven’t humbled or prided themselves on being ladylike in a long, long time.
