They are gonna love their new traffic patternMaybe right off the airplane they MIGHT hold up traffic, MAYBE, if the local police decide to hold a big parade. But otherwise, you go from having every street closed for you to maybe a two car detail for the first couple weeks. No big traffic issues; there will be more local media vans than there will be security.
And getting a tee time is not gonna be quite so easy
Pretty easy, can't be on the same hole, one of the club representatives will hold back golfers, or encourage others to speed it up, or step to the side to let the former president play through. Not a big issue.

Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon and Ford all came to the Coachella Valley after their time in office. President Obama... to head straight for the desert the moment he becomes a private citizen. After 8 years in the malaria-infested swamp called DC, Presidents have to run to the desert to dry out their lungs before tuberculosis sets in.
