I didn’t see the movie when it came out (too young), but I remember that I also had a Ouija board and some palmistry, astrology and tarot card games. My mother got serious about the reality of demons and spiritual warfare after The Exorcist movie came out and threw all that stuff away.
His sequel “Legion” was just as good, and scary as hell, you’re welcome for the pun. Hollywood made it a movie called “Exorcist 3” and it was equally good.
I stand by what I said.
He wrote it, he owns it.
He sanctioned the movie, he owns it.
Georgetown/ Jesuits......what did he expect
Father Eugene Gallagher was my theology professor a couple of hundred years ago. I believe William Peter Blatty and I had that in common. You can google the good father. The case of scotch he always had around might have had good reason to be there.
“Shutter Island” owes a debt to “The Ninth Configuration”.
RIP.
Did the producers ever force you into areas or situations that were too scary for your liking or did they let you sit out?
I was an intern, and promoted to production assistant eventually (TY Zac).
And YES, we interns/assistants were in charge of setting up the lines of cable from the truck to the power source in the haunted house/barn/building/prison etc. The electricians were part of the union so these lazy leeches made us do the cabling.
The one that scared the sh*t out of me was eastern penitentiary. Me and another intern were at the darkest basement which is the power conduit and while looking for the transformer “something” just removed my baseball cap. I told this story many times here on FR. I thought it was the other girl who was with me but the look on her face of I dunno, fear/surprise was priceless. She said it just flew from my head. There’s a lot more stories I could tell but it will take an entire thread to do so..
No kidding. Btw, I am a believer, and dont for one moment think that any one involved is out of their mind. Bright human being, went on to work for NASA. Can still read some of his white papers out here on the net.
Sounds far too spooky for me. Thanks for the reply.
No prob. And I know for a fact that MOST interns and assistants on that show quit. It’s not their fault. You have to have balls of steel to go into empty, dark rooms to set up cameras because Zac doesn’t. The interns and assistant do..
