Sausage sandwich at Busy Bee’s in San Pedro, Ca.
At latino groceries you can some times get
pork belly chicharones or chicharones con carne.
Even better than regular ones!
[the sandwich is king]
I thought the Sandwich was Earl.
The little shop I don’t think sells onion rings. I’ve gotten tater tots though.
The philly there is on honeywheat bread.
I make burritos with extra stuffing.
The guys at the gas station heard about my burritos from one of the guys there. I told them when I have some spare food, I’ll bring ya something.
Had some leftover cornbread stuffing (made enough for 15 people for Christmas dinner - only 7 were there).
Flour tortillas microwaved for 15 seconds to 25 seconds to heat them up. Warmed up the cornbread stuffing. Added some finely-chopped white onion (just a touch). Then topped with shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced garden-grown tomatoes, some shredded Cheddar, and some Cucumber Ranch dressing.
Made 3 HUGE burritos and took them a Christmas Eve present.
It’s what I do. When I have too much of some leftover. It’s fun to do.
Any form of cooking is a stress-reliever for me, anyways. Cleaning up, meh.

Krolls Green Bay Wi: Prime Rib Sandwich with cheese curds on the side
I must introduce you to my guy, Dr. Van Nostrand.
He’s the best!
And the worst.
I MUST have salt and pepper on my tomatoes.
That’s good actqually. I don’t want a buncha lefties finding out about “Philly Subs” in Clearfield, Utah. EFF EM. Let them enjoy the ambience of their favorite crime-ridden shytholes.
No Italian beef? Bogus list.
Hah! Still one of my favorites! (Was wondering if anybody would mention it.)
Another fave is PB&B (peanut butter and bacon). Serious salt-lick, that one.
My grandpa made PB and salami sandwiches.
I never acquired a taste, but our kids loved PB pizzas (tomato sauce & PB, topped with cheese).
I had a sandwich for breakfast today:
Sliced turkey breast
Genoa Salami
White American cheese
Romaine lettuce’
sliced tomato
and spicy brown mustard on toasted whole wheat bread.
Black coffee rounded it out, and then...outside to shovel out my car.
Sounds good
I’d nuke it 30 seconds and add mayo
But yes
I too like turkey with salami or pepperoni or my fav
Hot cappy
Yummm...Sounds GOOD!
Miracle Whip ? Seriously ?
You said it. Limited “Southern” Exposure, ie. to the area of the country with the finest real regular folks cooking there is in the US. They would... as a general politically correct move, never have tried Maurice’s in South Carolina— and the unique SC mustard sauce on a huge truly pit cooked pulled pork sandwich. Or for that matter— in NC... Hursey’s or Stamey’s BBQ or any of the 20 or so excellent BBQ real pit restaurants in Lexington, NC. At least they got in a truly great sandwich— the Cuban media noche or pressed cuban ham sandwich on real cuban bread (with a cafe’ con leche doble or a Materva- yerba mate soda on ice).
Hands down best sandwich in the world is a warm fresh from the garden tomato sandwich. Two slices of cheap white bread slices slathered with real mayo, thick juicy slices of garden fresh tomates, and salt and pepper optional. Eat outside or over a sink.
I love the grilled chicken breast sandwich from the Israeli style(kosher) Pita Hot on Main Street, Flushing (and you can watch Israeli TV on a big screen in the dining area). It is a grilled tender chicken breast topped with grilled mushrooms, onions done to that stringy stage I love, pickle, fresh tomato, Romaine lettuce, and your choice of at least 6 sauces. I like the BBQ or the garlic mayo. And it’s served on a whole wheat bun baked right there. Mmmm. I emulate it at home on my George Foreman grill and the results are luscious. Also really good, at the Israeli style Grill Point restaurant, are the chicken/turkey schwarma sandwiches on home baked fresh pita or laffa bread, with fresh made hummus, tahina sauce, shredded Romaine, cucumber, tomato, Israeli hot sauce, OMG delicious. And their baby chicken shish kebab sandwich will knock your socks off, too.
