Dem Rep Schiff: Trump Is Damaging His Credibility By Dismissing Russian Hacking
Breitbart ^ | January 1, 2017 | Pam Key

On ABC’s “This Week,” ...President-elect Donald Trump response to Russian hacking, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said, “The president-elect, as you know, also said that he knows things that other people don’t know. He needs to stop talking this way. If he’s going to have any credibility as president, he needs to stop talking this way. He needs to stop denigrating the intelligence community.”

KARL: So let’s pick up with the Russian hack. You heard from president-elect Trump last night saying he’s still not convinced it’s the Russians. He says hacking is a very hard thing to prove so it could be somebody else. OK. You have been briefed on the intelligence. How solid is the evidence that it was the Russians?

SCHIFF: It’s very solid. It’s indeed overwhelming and the president-elect, as you know, also said that he knows things that other people don’t know. He needs to stop talking this way. If he’s going to have any credibility as president, he needs to stop talking this way. He needs to stop denigrating the intelligence community. He’s going to rely on them. He’s going to have to rely on them. And this is the overwhelming judgment of the intelligence community and, frankly, all of the members of the intelligence committees in Congress, Democrats and Republicans. None of us have any question about this. The only one who does apparently is Donald Trump. And this is the problem. There’s only one thing worse than someone who wins elective office after everyone told them that they would win and that’s someone who wins after everyone told them that they would not because they believe in the infallibility of their own judgment. And this is very dangerous.

...

SCHIFF: ...I’m convinced, in favor of stronger sanctions...and Republicans, like McCain and Graham and others,

“He needs to stop denigrating the intelligence community.””

Is this the same intelligence community that was denigrated by Democars for providing actual evidence that Iraq had WMD?

He didn’t dismiss it. He said he’d look into it.

That’s not good enough for the left who want Putin’s head on a stick.

They don’t want Putins head on a stick. They want a scapegoat for Hillary’s loss, and they want a villain to appear aligned with Trump so they can keep their followers stirred up.

The demonrats are butt hurt over Trump’s win and will never get over it. They cannot accept the fact that outside of NYC, LA and a few other areas, most people hate them. I do not think that they actually believe anything they are saying about Russian hacking. I think they are simply lashing out at Trump and the voters who rejected them much like an angry 6 year old would.

From the moment Wikileaks started publishing the true Democrat emails the Democrats have been claiming the RUSSIANS are behind this. FROM DAY ONE!!

How did they know? They didn’t know. They created a meme and the MSM has dutifully fallen in behind them on it. Even the “17 intelligence agencies” BS keeps being repeated.

Can the Russians be behind this? Sure they can. Just today another breach was blamed on the Chinese so the pitiful state of US cybersecurity pretty much means any kindergarten agency can break their way into anything.

However, the only thing they Democrats are concerned with here is PODESTA and the DNC. Two ... private ... organizations.

Podesta is just stupid. Well, I guess the DNC too.

The little douche bag seems to be running his mouth a lot lately. I suspect he sees an opportunity to talk his way into a leadership position within the dung heap known as the Democrat Party.

They never say what they mean.

One of the many things our nation learned from reading the emails of Podesta and the rest of the DNC and media elite is that they rarely tell the truth to the public. As Hillary stated, they have two positions - one they believe in, and one they tell the public they have. Rarely are they the same.

The main thing I learned from all the DNC and Podesta emails was how little any of them cared about our nation, and trying to improve it. Everything, except for Podesta's interest in cooking, was about doing whatever it took to gain power for themselves.

Whoever leaked them did our nation a favor.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is damaging his credibility by stealing oxygen.

How did they know? They didn’t know.

The FTC has only prosecuted about 10 companies or individuals a year for illegal robocalls, although millions of those calls are made every month, and just about everyone has received calls from phone scammers. The FTC and other government organizations claim they cannot find the scammers because they use IP phones and are located overseas.

Tracking down garden variety internet hackers is even harder, as anyone who has tried to do so knows. Tor networks, VPNs, bot nets, and various IP forwarding and web redirection schemes make it very hard to identify the original source of an attack.

Given the poor security of the DNC, and Podesta's admission that he fell for a phishing email, there were probably multiple groups of hackers running around reading their emails. Along with DNC insiders and disgruntled Sanders supporters.

In any hacking it isn't uncommon to find Eastern European IP addresses or toolkits involved. But that is about as accurate an indication of the actual source as deciding that because you heard the lawn crew next door speaking Spanish the neighbors must be the new ambassador from Spain.

Both the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee HAVEN'T BEEN briefed.

So what the heck is Peter Schiff talking about?!

Trump is NOT denigrating the intelligence community.

He is denigrating the leftists and Democrats and other lawmakers who are ignoring the highly incriminating content of the hacked emails, ignoring their own failure to practice responsible cyber security, and, instead, are attempting to conveniently blame the Russians, while ignoring hacking evidence to the contrary.

Fast Thumb typing......auto correct and keeping my brain on stream of consciousness mode caused the you’re/your dichotomy.

An error? Maybe. It gets the point across. I often think to myself when I catch a mistake ‘ there.....now nobody a FR will know how diligent I was in catching the mistake, only criticize the ones I miss’.
