Dem Rep Schiff: Trump Is Damaging His Credibility By Dismissing Russian Hacking
Breitbart ^ | January 1, 2017 | Pam Key

Posted on 01/01/2017 3:17:31 PM PST by Red Steel

On ABC’s “This Week,” ...President-elect Donald Trump response to Russian hacking, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said, “The president-elect, as you know, also said that he knows things that other people don’t know. He needs to stop talking this way. If he’s going to have any credibility as president, he needs to stop talking this way. He needs to stop denigrating the intelligence community.”

KARL: So let’s pick up with the Russian hack. You heard from president-elect Trump last night saying he’s still not convinced it’s the Russians. He says hacking is a very hard thing to prove so it could be somebody else. OK. You have been briefed on the intelligence. How solid is the evidence that it was the Russians?

SCHIFF: It’s very solid. It’s indeed overwhelming and the president-elect, as you know, also said that he knows things that other people don’t know. He needs to stop talking this way. If he’s going to have any credibility as president, he needs to stop talking this way. He needs to stop denigrating the intelligence community. He’s going to rely on them. He’s going to have to rely on them. And this is the overwhelming judgment of the intelligence community and, frankly, all of the members of the intelligence committees in Congress, Democrats and Republicans. None of us have any question about this. The only one who does apparently is Donald Trump. And this is the problem. There’s only one thing worse than someone who wins elective office after everyone told them that they would win and that’s someone who wins after everyone told them that they would not because they believe in the infallibility of their own judgment. And this is very dangerous.

...

SCHIFF: ...I’m convinced, in favor of stronger sanctions...and Republicans, like McCain and Graham and others,

But the media didn’t damage their credibility at all by colluding with the Clintonistas to burn Bernie and tromp Trump.

Now that is funny, like he ever afforded Trump any credibility to begin with. I have no doubt that he, to this day, thinks it is impossible that Trump won. Which is why he is so convinced that the Russians helped him in some way to secure his victory.

Now with McCain & Graham it is jealousy in that they realize they will never get to sit at that desk in the Oval Office, that motivates them to push the Russian narrative. Of course stupidity is also evident in their case as well. They're so jealous that it makes them stupid enough to risk war with Russia over a highly probable lie, with nary a scintilla of proof being offered to support the claim.

if the voting machines don’t even have a USB port, and NOT connected to the web, CANT even be accessed electronically..how can it be hacked??

Whether voting machines can be hacked or can not be hacked doesn't make a particle of difference, and is not the issue.

The issue is delegitimizing the DJT victory. That is a mission of the highest possible priority to the MSM-Democrats. It's as important to them today as getting a working nuclear bomb was to Stalin and the USSR after 1945.

It's an all-consuming goal, and they are putting enormous resources to work on the problem. So far, the "Putin hacked the election and robbed a Hillary Presidency from us" is the one that's getting the most traction. That's why they keep pushing it.

The only way to let the air out of its tires is for Trump to chalk up a string of successes. That's what Reagan did.

It won't stop them trying, but it will push them down in the news cycle.

Of course the first Trump scandal, or mini-scandal, or demi-scandal, or pseudo-scandal, or entirely made-up BS-scandal, and they'll go wild with it, just like they did with Iran-Contra back in 1986.

FAKE NEWS. To damage credibility would require admitting that there was some credibility to damage in the first place. Something a Demoncrat will not do so this entire thought process is deemed fake.

One thing that gets overlooked is the fact that the “hacking” is defined as “taking advantage of Hillary Clinton’s idiotic approach to security”, yet played out as some super-secret illegal Russian incursion to our election process.

This is a lefty news vein. I don’t buy it as something the Russians need to be sanctioned over. When something surfaces to make me feel otherwise, then I’ll feel otherwise. But this just looks, smells, sounds and feels like another liberal media creation being beaten like a dead horse.

You know what? Trump and Putin should arrange a little fighter air-show on Jan 20. Thunderbirds-style, a pep-rally. Top Gun, but with alliance.

If the Dems had it they would have released it or leaked it by now. As far as I am concerned, it is a made up story until they can show overwhelming evidence.

So it’ll help his credibility if he says “Hillary should have won, and I won only because the Russians hacked the elections?”
