The point is he has already telegraphed his misgivings about it.
Voight would have no such misgivings and would consider it an honor.
Cage considers it an albatross around his neck.
Boo Frickin Hoo.
Finally, an actor old enough that I know who he is. He’s outgrown being the nephew of Coppola so has to rely on his craft which ranges from tolerable to intolerable. At his age, he better grab whatever role is offered but I can’t see him as Reagan.
He was married to Lisa Marie Presley for about 2 seconds.
I’d have to agree with you. He’s a good movie actor. No, he’ll never be a Olivier or Brando but has a lot of charisma on screen.
That’s because liberals identify with serial killers...
/s...sort of.
If you are a conservative in Hollywood it is best to play dumb. If you do you’ll blend right in.
Should read
Nicholas cage worried that being Nicholas cage could ruin career.
Can any ideological progressive ever just be concerned about portraying an American historical figure accurately and without politically-correct censorship/bias????
Very few and i mean few.
If you check Netflix, his movies are straight to Blu Ray/DVD. His last movie I watched was he played the Captain of the Indianapolis, which is the unfortunate ship which sank in WW2 and the sailors were taken out one by one in shark-infested waters.
I kinda liked him in Ghost Rider, even though when I heard he was going to be in it as GR I cringed.
He’s right. The lefties are ruthless, intolerant haters. He’ll never get another acting job if he portrays Reagan well.
That ship has sailed.
He peaked at “Raising Arizona.” The majority of his movies are crap. Trust me Mr. Cage. After the last piles of crap that ended up on Netflix you’ve got nothing to worry about.
Somebody wrote a movie casting RWR in a favorable light? What are the chances?
Then move on, Nick.
Regarding the Indianapolis; I would rather hear Robert Shaw’s great description of it in Jaws than Nick Cage’s portrayal. Still I didn’t know there was such a movie, so I thank you.

Nic cago also played an American civilian who went to find/kill Osama Bin Laden before the Seal Team did..
Almost choked on my sandwich reading this title. After making so many abysmal movies in a row, Cage is now worried about his career? Oh. Must have something to do with it being about a conservative. If he does a good job with the portrayal, why would he not think it could pull his career out of the toilet it’s in now?
What a brave and courageous actor willing to put it all on the line...NOT!
