Nicolas Cage has been offered the role of Ronald Reagan in an upcoming film, but is reportedly voicing his concerns about how the former president will be portrayed in the picture.
The Oscar-winning actor is said to be worried that it might damage his career if he plays Reagan in a flattering light reports Page Six.
Cage's publicist, Stephen Huvane, dismissed that report however, saying: 'Its way too early in the development process.'
Little else is known about the film at this time, including the director, screenwriter or who else might star alongside Cage, should he accept the part.

Quite the opposite, it could save his career.
Cage better be concerned about a paycheck at this stage of his career

Yes,... Those loving and caring liberals can be very hateful and vengeful, did you notice, Nick?
Fine, turn it down if you don’t want it.
Got news for ya, Nick...
Your career has nowhere to go but up.
Oh, don’t worry little Nicholas, they will find a way to put him in a poor light.
(What the heck is up with his teeth???)
I like Nick Cage, but I can’t see how his “career” can be further damaged. He hasn’t had a hit in years. Besides, a movie about Reagan isn’t exactly going to be a blockbuster.
That remark will cost him IMHO. He could always sell another castle.
That may have been true in 2008, but a new day is dawning.
IOW, he’s worried about being ostracized by his peers...
Can’t decide whats worse, Hollywood insiders or DC insiders.
fhis geezer still remembers when actors were basically...AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!
Semper President TRUMP!
Dick.G: aka: Gunny G
++++++++++
Well, that statement has done his “career” no great service.
Actors...pretending that they can actually think the stuff that’s written for them. (Not a universal truth, but pretty much ironclad for those lib ones.)
Cage is not a good actor.
His movies suck.
Can any ideological “progressive” ever just be concerned about portraying an American historical figure accurately and without politically-correct censorship/bias????
What is left of movie career has been on life support for at least 10 years.
I don't know if that's his choosing, a realistic look in the mirror or the way his agent selects FOR him.... but some of his movies have interesting plots.
Being the nephew of a famous movie director doesn’t hurt .............
