As I get older I attend fewer concerts. I wish they began at 4pm instead of 10pm.

Here's my list:
The Mekons
Wynonna and the Big Noise
Pere Ubu
KT Tunstall
Hiss Golden Messenger
Kris Kristofferson
Valerie June
Dry Branch Fire Squad

Would love to see Gordon Lightfoot.

His was the first concert I ever went to. I was my oldest sister's guest for Little Sisters' Weekend when she was a college freshman at U of M. It was long enough ago that he did not sing "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".

Steve Vai - final show of his Passion and Warfare 25th Anniversary tour - two weeks ago.

But that was the only show I got to this year. :(

Apparently the names comes from a Chinese story about an ancient warlord named Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu, so the literal translation of the characters isn’t entirely accurate, but it could translate to something like “fierce fighting skeleton”. I’ll have to ask them next time. I couldn’t find any information in English.

The best concerts we saw in 2016 were:

Morgan James

The Lucky Chops. We saw them twice, once at the Highline Ballroom in NYC, and at later in D.C.

Puddles, the seven foot clown with a golden voice at the Soho Playhouse in NYC, and

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing Daphnis et Chloe, Suite 2 at the Strathmore in Rockville, Maryland. That's not the BSO in the clip, but they were even better.

Bully Joel at Madison Square Garden and a few of the Fox News All-American summer concerts. Those were a little off this year because of the big news days we kept having. But I did see Lonestar one week, along with Scott Stapp another and Debbie Gibson

Other than that, it was a local Irish band, Celtic Cross, performing a couple of times during the year.

At first read, I thought you meant he played guitar left-handed.

Since Me G works in the music business it takes a lot for us to want to go to a concert. That said, we did see several this year. We took in the Nashville Symphony several times (delightful) and also KebMo, Art Garfunkle, and Michael McDonald.
Michael McDonald was with America.... One of the guys in America can sing, one has shot his voice. Michael is brilliant... always.
Art Garfunkle should not sing. He told lots of stories, including how he has lost his voice. He tries.
KebMo is always fun.

The most interesting thing we heard was the sound check Steely Dan did at the Biltmore. Steely Dan playing Pink Floyd. What a trip.

The first and only time I saw Steve Forbert in concert was in 1978. When I heard he was coming to town this year I was ecstatic. Until I learned that the Drive-by Truckers were playing the same night at a venue just one mile away. I sure hope Steve comes back our way again some time.

I used to volunteer usher and got to see a lot of concerts for free. Even Metallica with San Francisco Symphony.

We saw them at Carolina Rebellion, outdoor festival. They were actually better than I thought they would be! They also had one of the bigger crowds of the weekend.
