German evacuation for WW2 bomb disposal in Augsburg

It is the country's biggest evacuation for an unexploded bomb since the end of the war. The 1.8-tonne British explosive is thought to have come from a 1944 air raid, which destroyed the old town. Officials chose Christmas Day for the evacuation because it was less difficult than on a normal working day.

January 2012: A construction worker was killed when his digger hit an unexploded bomb in Euskirchen.

I remember seeing the German Army having cases of beer on the back of their artillery track vehicles when we would have maneuvers together.

At least it wasn’t in the redlight district like what happened a few years ago in Berlin. The whole city was paralyzed.

BTW. I’m heading Augsberg for a consulting gig in Springtime. I hope they finish by then... Looking forward to leaving the increasing madness of Berlin.

Not my line of work,but my thinking is,it would be like a surgeon.
I would be concerned if my Doctor was perhaps, a bit too steady?

Not sure, but I do know you have to shop around on the service charge and exchange rate for the transaction.
The ones at the airport tend to be the very worst!
