Fans of the Alien franchise were treated to a rather brutal Christmas present on Saturday night. A new trailer's been released for the upcoming Ridley Scott science-fiction horror film Alien: Covenant, the sixth entry in the Alien franchise. In a particularly grisly scene, two members of the titular spaceship's crew begin to make love in the shower - only for the predatory Xenomorphs to turn up and wreck the mood by tearing into one of the participants.

Is the planet LV-426??? Supposedly this movie is a sci-fi version of "Paradise Lost".

Alien & Aliens, although different in tone, were very good movies. Hard to measure up to those, and the rest in the series haven’t come close IMO.

Ridley Scott should have stopped after the second installment of the Alien saga.

Ah, ripping off the "Friday the 13th" franchise...

“Ridley Scott should have stopped after the second installment of the Alien saga.”
That wasn’t Ridley Scott. That was extreme libtard Avatar director Cameron.

Aliens was done by James Cameron of Terminator fame.

Well, glad I don’t have to see it now.

The first two Alien movies were great, though, albeit in different ways...

Alien Resurrection had some moment...
Some great lines, and you can see Joss Wheedon had some ideas that he later used in Firefly.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the trailer, but Ridley Scott is also the executive producer of a sequel to “Blade Runner.”
Thank goodness it’s not a “reboot,” and maybe it will finally put to rest whether or not Decker is a replicant (it DOES have Harrison Ford in it!)

Scott made clear (eventually) that Deckard is a relevant in the movie. This is in contrast to the book, which takes the opposite path about halfway thru the story.

Allen 4 was little more than “you thought that was disturbing, how about this! And This! And THIS! And TTHHIISSSSSSS!!!”

This flick was definitely the nadir of the Alien franchise. And hopefully the last installment. I actually liked Promotheus.
