I have never liked the Beach Boys. Totally overrated. Wouldn’t want to see them anyway.

I wouldn’t call it screeching. Brian and Carl Wilson both had some of the smoother falsettoes of the time, compared to say, Lou Christie or Del Shannon’s style.
