Whole Title: 'Get my work off your walls!': Ivanka Trump hit by protest from artists demanding their work be removed from her famous home because they're 'embarrassed' to be associated with her family

A growing group of artists is hitting back against Ivanka Trump, with some even demanding the president-elect's daughter take their work down off her walls.

A collection of New York artists have banded together to protest Donald Trump through his daughter, with a campaign called 'Dear Ivanka'.

The colorful crusade was created by the Halt Action Group, which was founded by curator Alison Gingeras, dealer Bill Powers, Jonathan Horowitz, and a group of others associated with the art scene, Bloomberg reports.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Oh please, if she bought the works of art (and that phrase is now in doubt) then she has every right to display them. What a bunch of whiners.

Were they embarrassed when they accepted her money for their artwork?

Great solution to the problem - she returns their art after they return the money she spent on it. See how the artists like it then.

We didn’t hear the artists crying when she bought their work, did we?

Her best revenge would be to take their ‘artworks’ and sell them on ebay for like $3 each, to several friends on condition that they sell them in a chain to each other for no more than $5, accepting no other bids.

Then put up faux sales ads, with those pictures marked as “sold”, again for a pittance. Again do this several times. This would drive the market value of their other ‘works’ into the toilet.

The art market is downright vicious this way, and could ruin the careers of many of these “artists”.

Fine. I will gladly return your work to you, for a full refund of the price paid plus a rental fee for the amount of time it took up space on MY property.

I have another idea:

Sell ALL the works at ridiculously LOW prices at a big yard sale, thus reducing the market value of ALL of the “artist’s” output!

I am an artist, and i know how this works. hahahah

Take a photo of the paintings stacked in a yard, Ivanka standing next to the stack with a bag of Marshmallows in one hand and a long thin stick in the other.

Does Ivanka own the copies of the works hanging on her walls?

If so, FM!

So how is this different from buying a pedigreed dog, where there are all kinds of things you can’t do, such as breed “your” dog yourself or decide whether or not the animal is spayed/neutered, and the breeder has the “authority” to take your dog away from you if they think you’re not caring for it the way the breeder expects?

My wife has been an Artist for most of her life, and the painting are her babies, but once they are sold, they belong to the owners, and her rights and responsibilities end there.

If Ivanka is willing, she can sell the art pieces back to the Artists, for a profit of course. That should shut them up, unless Soros is funding their protests...either way, Trump wins again.

From Shepard Fairey's official website (ObeyGiant.com):

Check it out! I got a thank you note from Barack Obama. If he is elected, maybe I have a get out of jail free card. All kidding aside, I'm honored to be acknowledged by someone so important to the future of our country. Also, the Obama campaign asked me to do a poster illustration for sale on their site. It should be out next week on barackobama.com.-Shepard

Here is the text of the 'thank you letter' Barack Obama sent to Shepard Fairey:

"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. The political messages involved in your work have encouraged Americans to believe they can help change the status quo. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign. I am privileged to be a part of your artwork and proud to have your support. I wish you continued success and creativity.

Sincerely, Barack Obama.'"

“She should tell them she will sell the artwork back to them.
Let’s see how important it is to them then. “

Actually, it is a great PR campaign by the artists to increase the value of their work. Previously obscure artists become known as having been bought by Trumps.
