Tuesday evening on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin addressed the announcement that Exxon-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of state.
Levin said that the choice of Rex Tillerson ranks among the “worst” of Trump’s Cabinet picks.

Tillerson has close ties to members of the ruling class establishment. His nomination was praised by the likes of Condoleezza Rice, Robert Gates, and James Baker — luminaries of the Bush administration and, in the case of Rice and Gates, lobbyists for Exxon-Mobil. Additionally, his close relationship with Vladimir Putin is a major cause for concern.
Fundamentally, Tillerson is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time. As Levin read from Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitz’s piece today:
Trump should have appointed a secretary of State who regards the current State Department with as much disdain as Scott Pruitt regards the EPA. The problem we have at the State Department is not a management crisis. We have a moral and intellectual problem with the State Department that has persisted for decades. It stems from a deep-rooted culture of moral relativism and an “America-last” mindset. As such, we needed a man with a strong ideological rudder who understands the issues, is on the right side of them, and willing to bust up the entire State Department structure and the global foreign policy apparatus.

It’s very interesting watching some of these talking heads become totally irrelevant.
I like that Trump did not
1) Pick a defeated rival to placate them (ala Clinton for Obama, or Romney)
2) Did not pick an insider or political hack (Kerry) looking to build a power base or stay in the public eye
Tillerson is already wealthy, doesn’t need the money, and isn’t a Washington insider, as far as I know. I believe he is serving just because he believes its the right thing to do.
Tillerson is as “insider” as it gets. The Chamber of crony Globalists will use all their lobbying muscle to get their man installed at the 3rd most important post in the Trump admin. Do you like that, too?
And he will enact Trump’s policies. I like that.

Oh come now. If Trump is in charge (as you say), then there should be no problem if he appoints Hillary as secretary of state. Trump is in charge and she will be following his policies. So what's the objection?

Tillerson does or he has stated so on a number of occasions.
What about DRAIN THE SWAMP not to mention Trump’s rejection of the climate change agenda? Certainly, that makes Tillerson a questionable pick, no?
Doesn’t this cause anyone concern? Don’t get me wrong, I’m hoping for the best and praying there’s more to this appointment than meets the eye.

For the record, Mark Levin has said he support President Trump and been strongly positive(as am I) about a number of his picks. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve scrutiny. In fact, as a conservative, toss it all... as an American, it is our duty to hold our politicians to their campaign promises.
If a Tillerson nomination means tossing in the the warmunists, then that’s a huge problem.

Tillerson's appointment will insure that Mobil and the US economy will share in the profits that Russia will eventually reap from this discovery.
Appointment of some Environazi Globull Warmer shill would enable the US to pay for a proxy war, and supply boots on the ground to deny Russia this oil and blockade their current supply to Western Europe.
If you believe Mobil is evil "Big Oil" then you want Tillerson out, if you think that Agore, Globull Warming, and Environazi Progs are energy scamming the entire planet and funding Terrorism through the Saudi's and the Muslim Brotherhood, then you want Tillerson in.

Limbaugh, on the other hand, likes Trump’s choice, if that means anything.
If Tillerson is comfortable putting America first, he should be okay. He will not be in charge of pursuing global warming mythology, even if he wanted to. A lot of companies doing that are only doing so for political purposes to keep the Federal government happy and out of their hair.
You do realize that allowing gays to be public about their Boy Scout participation actually decreases the odds of secret buggery? Think about it.

Actually I think Trump, based on his appointments, might be going for US Energy independence and ending the OPEC cartel control over the world’s oil market.
I think Trump realizes one of the keys to restoring US Economic strength must be a very strong energy sector. I think he is looking to undo the idiot “green energy” positions the US Political/Media class has been pushing on the US since the 1970s that has resulted in us being hostage to OPEC.
There was a brief moment in time when I listened to Mark Levin once again after he came around for Trump. Yesterday I listened briefly as he ragged on Tillerson. Honest to goodness, that man is a raging, carping wet blanket. There is nothing he does not shred. I’m done listening to him altogether, and frankly, although I had considered signing up for his news show, because I like the others on it, I will NEVER subject myself to his negativity again.
He hasn’t buggered up EXXON Mobil! You are petty and downright ignorant.
So now we have to defend the gaying of the BSA. 180 degree turn away from the conservatism of yesterday.
I suppose so but in this case Trump has named Mr. Tillerson to do it. Think maybe we have too many folks who came of political age during the Clinton era when everything that went wrong was supposedly a cabinet member out there on their own and everything that went right was Billy’s doing. The president runs the show. Period.
