Reminds me of the movie “Independence Day” where the POTUS didn’t know what was going on at area 51. If you don’t know to ask, they can’t lie to you. I always love some weird named program with a budget of $20 billion, but nobody can say exactly what it does. It gets funded every year and nobody knows what’s in it.

Trump knows more than Obama, they only gave him a bag of cotton candy. I believe powers in place decide how much a POTUS is informed.

I like the way Dennis Miller put it: Once you get in the Oval Office two things happen: you get to give a titty twister to the alien corpse from Roswell and then they open up the “This is how f’ed up the world really is binder.”

I recall back in the 1960s, Russians would buy Aviation Week magazine, and translate them while flying back to Moscow. I suspect a lot of "classified information" got leaked as a matter of course.

“The President of the United States may be given access to any government or military information that they request if there is a proper “need to know”, even if they would not otherwise be able to normally obtain a security clearance were they not the President.” - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_clearance

The need to know is determined by a “disclosure officer,” according to the article. For example, if the president wanted to know the name and address of every CIA agent in Moscow, I would think any disclosure officer worth his salt would be justified in saying, “No, you don’t need that. Denied.” So my guess is that not even the president has access to everything.

There has got to be somebody that knows and has access to everything, who is it?

Hillary has done well in that department.

No, I think that you're wrong. That "disclosure officer" would be in no position to know if the President didn't perhaps have just cause to want to know that. The (telephone) conversation might run like this:

"Mr. President, you don't need that."

"Well, in the context of Project Omega - for which you haven't been cleared, Mr. Disclosure Officer - Lt. Gen. Smith (sitting here with me in the Oval Office) and I do need that info. So hand it over!"

Regards,

Instead of Aviation Week & Space Technology we always called it Aviation Leak & Spy Technology.

I seriously doubt it. Different agencies have different systems to process it. There are various layers of classified, and then there are different “compartments”. The amount of material is mind boggling, and not everyone with eligibility has access to all info, or a need to know. So, I suppose the Prez may be authorized to see everything, but there is no way he could, or even know what is out there.

Have you a link to pix or vid of PEOTUS Trump after having been briefed?

Yes he does, also all “top secret”, and the highest secure level, “eyes only”.

I believe Obama takes riders from a higher source and s just an unimpeachable face they it in office after the PC environment was set up. I say that because he is constantly away from the office golfing vacationing, and fundraising seemingly doing litte else ther than signing executive orders he has his staff prepare. ValJar seems to be the one receiving the marching orders and would be the one I would subpoena in a court case if I really wanted to knw what really goes on behind closed doors in the WH.

First problem is knowing that there is information out there that is classified. There is no one index of all classifies material.
